Damon's drug use apparently was one of the issues that caused the split. Quote

I've been at Hawks while he was both hooking up for his own pleasure and filming scenes, and have talked to him a little bit, but never had the desire to actually have sex with him because of his sickly appearance which I attributed to his substance usage (we have definitely had sex with the same guy a few times).
