    The point of an awareness campaign is to make people aware of something they don't know. EVERYONE knows condoms = safer sex so you can't have an awareness campaigns about that anymore. But a lot of people don't know about PrEP - so you can have an awareness campaign about that.

    No, "Long-Term Non-Progressor" means your numbers stay good without medication. It's impossible to call someone who goes on meds quickly a Long-Term Non-Progressor" because the whole point of LTNP is that your body can control HIV pretty well on it's own, without medication. There is a genetic test that can tell you how likely you are to be a LTNP. You can get it through 23AndMe. I recommend knowing that before going on meds.

    Are the ones you know who are monogamous under 5 years into their relationship? I know a lot of those too. But what a lot of gay guys don't realize is that if the relationship doesn't become open then it will inevitably end - with very rare exceptions. Knowing that, I don't quite believe all the guys who say they're monogamous - they're just not admitting they're having sex on the side.

    That made me laugh. What does a stable relationship have to do with anything? I know of only one or two gay couples who've been together for 7+ years who are still monogamous. I knew one guy who was a bug chaser in a something like a 17 year relationship. He became poz a few years ago now - they're still together and he still goes out regularly to bathhouses to take loads.

    I'm on PrEP and I disagree. Some people think they're sluts because they have unprotected sex twice a year with guys they know. The potential side effects of PrEP aren't worth the benefits for those people. Better if doctors and STD clinics push it to people who get regular STDs - those are the guys who are really at risk. I can see an awareness campaign, but I think it should be targeted to gay guys. And it should just be about awareness - not actually encouraging guys to go on it. More like "Do you regularly have risky sex? Talk to your doctor about pills you can take to help you stay HIV negative."

    All parties. I was told they were going out to the promoters July 1 - so the parties immediately after that date would get them. They would have sent about 25 to each city (on average) - so not enough for every attendee. It appears NYC got theirs early since the Pride parties were the weekend before they were scheduled to go out. They'll be available again during the August parties for those of you who want them (or you can contact me privately and if you pay a bit I'll send you some - I think the price I told someone else was $4 gets you 2, then a little bit more for each additional).

    This was the month Breeding Zone wristbands were given out at CumUnion parties. I gave the CumUnion organizers 500 of them. I actually found one that had been abandoned in a couch when I was at the New York party over gay pride (but wasn't offered them or see them available otherwise) - so they were being given out as early as late last month. But this was the month they were supposed to be given out more widely. I'm not quite sure how they were given out. Did you see them available? Were they given out without people asking? If you guys could tell me what you saw at the CumUnion parties it would help me understand whether it's a good idea to give them out in the future… BTW, if you're going to Dore Alley this weekend and want a Breeding Zone wristband they'll be available at the CumUnion booth.

    30kg in 8 months? Damn! I packed on about that much - but over a much longer time. I managed to lose about half of it last year "accidentally" - wasn't really trying - it just happened. My suggestions - don't eat unless you're hungry. I found myself eating because my boyfriend made a meal. Wrong. If you're not hungry, don't eat. As a corollary to that, half way through a meal start asking yourself if you really need the rest of the meal. Chances are you'll at least say "not all of it". It's OK to leave food on your plate (despite what your parents told you). Along those lines a decent diet is to have two 500 calorie days each week. I don't actually do calorie counting but I find there are naturally 2 or 3 days a week when I'm just not all that hungry. I'll snack (on healthy-ish stuff). That will lower your appetite on the days when you eat more since your stomach will shrink and you'll feel full faster. Be active is my other piece of advice. Get out and walk or run or climb stairs, or go to the gym. Do whatever activity works for you - just make sure you don't sit at home on the couch (too much).
