The host's name is changed too but the pictures used are always appealing. I have been to several of these under various names and the attendance is always so sparse I had stopped going. Recent parties have listed massive attendance and action on BBRT and claim to be so popular they are given every Sunday night over the summer. Three weeks ago I gave it another chance, On the dark stairs it was the same Greek host (who only has sex with a condom) while trying to make money from the bareback community. The three hour party advertised upwards of 97 attendees. One hour into the party there were FIVE men there. Yes, it's possible that this was just an off night. If anyone has had any luck at these events I will accept correction. I left feeling really resentful that the party giver had so exaggerated the size of the event and had been boaasting huge turnouts for weeks. I also knew the host's BBRT profile was Greekram and felt NVRPullout was used just to rebrand the scam. No matter how good this party sounds, it is all false advertising.

    So much of these places is who YOU are and what expectations you bring to them. Your profile says you are a 32 year old versatle bottom. If you have ever been to bathhouses in other major cities you will be amazed that these two places are the only options in NYC, a city you thought was full of gay men and great times. Both are expensive and can be very empty. The time of day you elect to be there can have a huge effect on the experience you have. I am always trying to find out when the good time to go, is. The ESC is larger, three floors, a sauna, steamroom and lounge. The WSC has one main floor and a second that is open sometimes. No steam and the sauna may be open. You can have a long wait for the hot water in the showers of either. Sometimes the candy machines are filled, sometimes one computer will work and the tv will be on the channel chosen by management. There are NO public areas for sex in either club. Both pretend no sex happens on the premises and there are monitors to close your room door or throw you out if you are too open. The ESC has a much older patron. Not like hot daddies, like 300 pound 75 year old men who will look at you and say, no thanks. The WSC has a younger crowd, but they are more likely to be there to buy drugs than to have sex. Sometimes you will get lucky but more often than not you see temporary membership cards torn up and left on the stairs outside by men who went in expecting the stuff of porn stories and finding no satisfaction and a lot of men who don't really know how to enjoy cheap reckless sex anymore. If you have ever been to Steamworks in Chicago you will not believe that the only two NYC baths can be such shoddy, disappointing, backward places in the year 2014.

    Great Story. Gays may not always be quite that warm, giving and inclusive of others, but we should all try to be brothers. I'd certainly like to hear from other men in NYC who would share deep intimacy openlyand often.

    I live in NY and I have no idea where to go. The baths/club are empty or full of talkers looking for drugs. The parties posted are just as expensive as the clubs and just as likely to be full of posers. Has it all gone to grinder? I don't know. This is NYC and there is less action than Kansas.

    I'm always proud to respond honestly, if asked. One guy said I was really wet when he entered me and asked how many loads I had so I told him seven and I hoped he'd make it eight. He did.

    So who has been there? The place is important, yes, but unless there are men going there it's not worth the trip for me. When is it busy? The only thing that will keep me away is if it is empty like the baths on Sansom Street- I don't go to be alone in a clean place I go for the interaction with as many others as possible.
