We wear different color glow stick bracelets based on sexual position. It started with green = verse, blue = top and red = bottom. Then due to customer input they added orange = oral only and after even more complaints they added purple = none of the above. Orange and purple are by far the most common chosen usually 75% or more, the ratio between oral only and none of the above does shift, but over time probably averages out to 37.5 % for each with the remaining 25%, probably 15% bottom, 5% verse and 5% top. As the night goes on and the colors fade to the point you can't tell them apart, you are likely to get an earful from an orange or purple bracket wearer if you mistake them for red or blue. The glow parties are probably the 2nd best attended event at Steam, they do it on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, and sometimes if there is a 5th Saturday. It does actually help facilitate things, so I kind of wish the would implement color coded key things so you could tell all of the time. -

1st night in Palm Springs in the books, I spent a little over 3 hour at the Western Exposure Bear Union at CCBC. The bathhouse staff have never brought it up as an issue with me, but I have little doubt they had complaints about me at times. Yes I do talk to the guys on the bathhouse staff, sometimes even when we aren't fucking 😜 I have mostly made a point to stay away on those nights. I just wish they would have the same courtesy for more explicitly themed events. In yet another irony the Eagle PDX appears to be hosting a monthly night for Omen members to come hang out naked. The emphasis is on guys giving each other spa type treatments, there are always massage tables and guys looking to give/receive massages, they frequently also include guys that come to do manicures and pedicures, sometimes a barber, and less often body shaving. There may be both social and sexual activities in the areas of the venue. The consensual sexual activities may happen in all areas of the location, but mainly in the room areas/play areas. Boners OK and allowed in all area and it's ok to play with yours or others with consent." From past experience a lot of attendees are not ok with sexual activities and have no problem letting other patrons know their preference for no sexual activities. Spa night at a bathhouse in PDX is explicitly not a sexual themed event. -

I think you would need to start a new club/organization. The events that bring the most customers in the door at the existing establishments are the opposite of this. It's been a couple of years since I have actually gone in on a Spa which is night, but based on just driving by the parking situation at the weekly Spa nights held on Tuesday at Steam and Wednesday at Hawks bring in 3 times as many customers as the monthly Cumunion parties, currently hosted one Saturday a month at Steam. I don't really blame them for leaning into what the local demand is for, but it's still frustrating. Steam hosts a hugely attended quarterly Saturday night spa party that I often forget about until I'm hunting for a parking space. No one from the staff at either bathhouse has ever warned me that my preferred activities aren't welcome on Spa nights, but the patrons have made it clear in both actions and words. -

I guess we all have our own likes, but for me spending time in a sexually charged environment with nudity and uninhibited conversation, is extremely frustrating. You can easily spend 4 or more hours in a gay bathhouse in the PNW and not see or hear any indication that anyone has actually fucked. I find that there are no bigger boner killers, than spending hours listening to naked guys socialize, watching them kiss, cuddle and engage in foreplay for hours on end without actually fucking. -
I haven't been to Brazil, but would suspect it is a combination of things on your list. Is it possible the darkrooms don't exist at establishments within the "safe" tourist perimeter? At least in the US establishments that host such attractions are forced out of the "acceptable" areas in many cities. I also suspect the cockblocking boyfriend lurking nearby is a significant factor.

I just googled it, for gay marriages per capita in the US here are the top 5: 1 San Francisco, CA 2 Portland, OR 3 Seattle, WA 4 Austin. TX 5 Boston, MA There are definitely a lot of guys that claim to be looking for a white picket fence and monogamy, even in the bathhouses. There is less sex and more socializing in PNW bathhouses than most of the world, but it still seems like a strange place to look for a husband.
