It was one of the worst thing I've ever been infected with, but the sex was hot. As a result, HSV-1 took hold near my hole and in about a week my entire taint was blood red, covered in bumps oozing out a yellow-white substance that smelled disgusting. Worse was the pain - it's crippling and got worse when I washed it. Went away in 2 weeks, but then flared up soon after for round 2. Recurrent outbreaks persisted and I had to add acyclovir 2x a day to my meds regimen. While I'm thankful that I won't ever have to worry about getting infected again, or ever getting infected with it on my face, I wish this one would have passed me over. In addition, unlike the other meds I'm on, acyclovir wears me out the most and gives me nausea still after 1.75 years. Try to avoid, while not a death sentence it's still misery - the worst incurable virus I've had.

Infection on PrEP generally requires you to either have very little Truvada in your system due to missed doses, or the top to be shooting lots of detectable poz cum in your hole that is resistant to the two drugs in Truvada (where the tops infection is not under controlled by a different cocktail.) I've been gangbanged anonymously at bath houses, bottomed in several orgies where a few or more of the tops were poz not on meds (sometimes the only bottom, sometimes the only negative guy there.) My old fuckbuddy converted, was toxic as can be, and bred my hole several times "to see if it works." I know the risks involved, don't suggest anyone try it- it's just my experience. On the other hand, I've tested poz for ghonno, clap,or syph at least 2x a year for the last 3 years. I just got treated in February for all three and may have them all again.
