I personally believe 18, the age of consent in the US, is too high, but still 14 is also rather questionable.

Age of consent in the US varies with state. Here in Maryland it's 16.

Just be careful who you play with and make sure they are actually "legal" for where you are playing. For example in Tx (USA), a lot of people think 17 is legal, buts it's not. Even an 18 year old "can be considered a minor". A lot of people don't realize that Tx has 3 sets of governing laws.... Penal Code (criminal), Family Code, and Civil. In several sections of ALL of the codes a minor is described as "a person 18 years old or younger". Note this INCLUDES people that are 18. A few sections even go so far as including people upto 21. (Alcohol - another code I forgot, so 4 codes) If you hookup with an 18 yr old in Tx, they can charge you under the Family Codes. You can reference all kinds of sources saying 17/18 is legal, but look it up. Go to your State/Province/Country's websites and check things out yourself. Then decide what you want to do and what chances you want to take. For me, I either meet people in clubs or "adult places" or i do t play unless they can prove to be 19 older, but that's just me.

As far as I know, Mike Dozer remains in the Montgomery County (PA) clink and that million dollar bail levied by the judge assures he will remain there for a long time. There's no way that Mike can win on this one, even if his 14-year old prey (located through the Jack'd website) looked mature for his years, pursued and consented to having sex with the poz pornstar. I don't know if this story will interest the gay community for very much longer, although some of the comments I've read online have been provocative and reveal some understanding, however creative, of Mike's situation. It's been posited that the boy wanted to have sex with a poz man and set in his mind that Mike Dozer was the man he wanted. I'm not from Philadelphia, but I would have to assume that your choices in that part of the world are going to be limited...pornstar, poz, can travel, all that stuff.

Mike has been quoted as saying that he didn't realize how young the kid was until he met him...ah, the perils of internet hookups...and then he says he cleared out. But he did communicate with the kid online, he did travel to engage the kid, and may or may not have had sex with the kid, but by that point it doesn't matter anymore. Although the statutory rape laws do differ slightly from from one jurisdiction to another, according to statute, one doesn't need actually to engage in a sex act. Just putting yourself in the situation pretty much closes the case. As soon as Mike got within a few feet of the boy, he was done...no matter what information the kid provided online or via cellphone. The rape rap also includes a charge of 'recklessly endangering another person,' which probably has to do with Mike's hiv status. Sorry, Mike...there's no way out for you on this one; it's probably the better course to face the music. Having written all this is not by any menas to suggest that your porn career is over; you may return to your bareback porn career once you have paid your 'debt to society,' just stick to the beef and the pork and give a pass to the chicken.

Actually, he's never been out of jail. Where did you hear about the boyfriend's suicide? That wasn't in the news video you linked to.

I'm not sure if it's him, or his attorney, but someone is posting on Mike's Twitter account... He's still proclaiming his innocence, but being connected to a child porn ring has to complicate things immensely. Still, I really hope he is innocent - or at least didn't have intent. I have no problem with him having sex with the kid if he honestly thought the kid was legal.

I responded that I need to see a copy of his drivers license proving he is 18 before I would engage in conversation with him.
