Hey all- this is an older topic, and I may have even replied to it at some point ages ago. Times change tho- so if you can indulge me - read on.

I was a pig/slut/open manhole/etc from age 15 on up to about 18 months ago. Or, about for about 52 years. I explored some S&M, Dom/sub, "Master"/slave,  and lots of random, one and done play. Even had a semi stable relationship for 19 years with a great man. But about 18 months ago I failed my PSA test, for the 1st time. After educating myself as much as possible and learning the various options, I wanted to do nothing and just monitor the PSA level, and a wiser radiation oncologist agreed, as long as I did 2 more things. Some of the biopsy material went off for RNA testing, and I went off for a PSMA Pet scan. Luckily, there was no signs of and metastatic spread in my body, and unfortunately the RNA sample indicated I was at the top most range for the sample to metasticise throughout my body if not arrested quickly.  I had to have immediate treatment , waiting was not an option.

The beginning of the long treatment began Sept 1 with me taking a one a day pill that would essentially "castrate" me- no testosterone being produced meant the cancer cells had no food to divide and spread new cells. At day 20, I saw my urologist who injected a product called Trellstar- a 3 month dose of injectable testosterone inhibitor (TIP, in  case I need to refer to it again)  I was able to get erect  and had "dry orgasms " - no cum but def the sensation, for another 10 days or so, and then as my nuts basically stopped working, not only did I lose all sex urges and libido, but my muscle tone went to shit, my metabolism was off and I began having a gut ( I have never had  one up to now) On top of all that "joy" fatigue was a regular event, and like a menopausal woman, hot flashes struck over and over for no apparent reason- other than the TIP and the fact I did not have any testosterone in my system. The 28 days of radiation were not bad- other than having to drink 28 ounces of water and hour ahead of the 4 minute treatment ( and if you have prostate issues, let me tell you, holding any amount of liquid can be a challenge, holding that much water was a real " water torture" 

OK- so the history is behind- the point is this- you might think in your kink head  being castrated or Nullo is exciting - but the sex drive and urges you have today driving that thinking will be totally gone should you actually follow thru with it. And even tho all traces of the TIP should have ended in my system about 3 months ago, since I was getting it 90 days apart, I still do not have the urge- or arousal back, tho my testosterone has at least gone from less than 3 to 34- still a far cry from the 790 range it used to be.  I would never want to tell you what to do or not do, but from where I have been recently- no T is not the way to go if you want to still have a sex life- even in a slave role- you have to have some arousal or it becomes a major roadblock.

Hey Billy88666- thanks for the kind words. I am technically prostate cancer" free"  as of the Jan and April labs, tho monitoring will always need to be done. As for speaking up- gay men used to have a saying at the darkest point of the AIDS crisis [Silence = Death] I was like a TV tele evangelist after my diagnosis talking openly and frankly to the guys I hang out with for coffee or in other forums. As a result, the husband of one man approached me and asked me to talk with his husband, who had just gotten diagnosed. Another man came up a couple months into my journey and began asking questions , he had just failed a PSA test. I believe all people can share and educate each other in so many aspects of living, and in our sharing we not only help, but also grow . 

as for men getting checked- for fucks sake guys- DO IT! At least once a year after you get past 45 . Keep a log year to year of the PSA number and IF you suddenly see a jump, but it is still below 4, realize riding a bike, or a hard cock, or dildo(s) ( or any other anal insertable item ) or jacking off or even a workout at the gym the day or two before the blood draw can elevate your PSA without it being due to cancer cells.  

Now for the sad/bad news- the one bright spot for all of us bottoms and a prostate exam- the " physicians handshake" , or the doc digging his finger up your ass for a rub on the prostate, is a fading method of diagnosis. Most docs try to get it over with quickly to spare the man embarrassment or " distress"  and can easily miss even a raised bump if they don't happen to press on the spot. PSA test and a follow up MRI if anything seems out of the norm is the newer standard of investigation.
