Is TESTING required for BAREBACK PORN in the USA, Canada and the UK?

I've said it many times, I really don't know anything about the Business Side of the Porn Industry! Is testing for STDs/ STIs required? Are there places where Testing is NOT required? I am just curious. I have heard that Studios like T.I.M. don't do any Testing but I am not sure if what I heard is true.

You are quite correct, TIM does not do any testing. Or serosorting. I interviewed with them five years ago, and that last part was the most disconcerting part of the interview. The guy flat out told me this was so. From communicating with others in the biz, I've concluded that if you go into TIM porn, you are either already poz or looking to convert. You are not likely to go in neg and come out neg.

The company I was with didn't test or require any documentation.  Ut then again it was condom porn. I cant speak for any other company.

Bad Seed had no testing.  My interview for being part of the the gang in a gang bang with TIM certainly had no testing requirement mentioned.  For the Trans videos I was in we did an instant HIV test, nothing for other things. 

Just a hunch that the more "produced" porn of Raging Stallion, Titan, etc....would be a different story.

ALL very interesting! I wonder how many Guys went in Neg with T.I.M. and left not so Neg?  It sounds like Testing in Bareback Porn is a standard practice, tho. Is it Legal for NO Testing for BP in the USA, Canada and UK? I would think that it would be but I sure don't know! Lol!

Broke Straight Boys and Sean Cody and Randy Blue all claim to use a similar method. If you ever belonged to one of those sites, you notice that the scenes come out in sets; for a month or so you get movies with the same 6-8 guys in every pairing. BSB did a long behind-the-scenes video explaining how it works when they first started doing bareback. They take a group of guys somewhere remote (a resort in the mountains or the desert or something). They film all the crap they fill the first 5-10 minutes of each scene with (playing sports, jogging, swimming, interviews, ....) and probably the oral stuff for several days. Then when all the guys have been under their view for long enough for the HIV tests that are accurate for the last week to work, they test and do the fucking/breeding scenes.

I believe a majority of companies do test, however there are outliers as have been mentioned.  I'm kinda not sure how TIM gets away with it if they are paid by the studio, waivers only go so far.    

With Prep and treatment, HIV kind of becomes irrelevant.  With things like Herpes, and HPV, gay men are most likely going to pick those up sooner or later, its just a matter if they have symptoms, most people are asymptomatic for those.  The bacterial ones can obviously be cured, but would become annoying on a porn set.  

IMO what would be more interesting is if anyone tests with the huge explosion of amateur porn.

I doubt it.  Amateur porn is just that-some guy putting his dick on line or posting a clip of him getting fucked.  There's no studio behind them to force testing.  Just a boi and his video camera.

T.I.M are the only ones in US, Canada, UK that do not.

 

Not sure how they get away with it maybe they the loophole is that they class the scenes as the actors are people just hooking up for sex on cam they are not hired as such to perform so it comes under home movies sort of thing.
