sadly, short of blowing up capitol hill when a majority of congress "people" are in session, voting 4 Twumpy 2020 is the only way to support liberty

anti-american filth like Tlaib and Omar who say and do nothing when little girls' clitoris' are chopped off...

Biden woudla been a shoo in had he run in 2016, but now he's just another lame in the field. Making excuses for giving blacks harsher sentences for crack vs cocaine, loving baby-killing Israel at all costs. Warren's tagline is "the corporations" when she's been taking lobbyist money for years and doing nothing ...Sanders is a subhuman commie pretending to be a Dem. Fuck em all

Trump is the only choice, as far as I'm concerned. mor3 campaign promises kept than any other president

He might be the only semi logical choice.

I think peak MURICA has to be thinking that centre-left, democratic socialist Bernie Sanders is a communist.

TOTALLY agree.

While he has exceeded my expectations by a lot, whether he may be the best choice, is he is?  It seems like he and his cabinet are more concerned about taking civil liberties away than protecting us.  For that, I'd rather vote for Fred Flintstone or not vote at all.

I've kicked 3 "Democrats" or "Progressives" or "Liberals" or "Marxists" or whatever name they are currently calling themselves out of my mancave/playroom. OF COURSE I'm voting for Mr. Trump.  Take a look at those nutjobs running for the nomination on the Democrat side:  Every one of them is loony & unstable as hell!.  Kamala Harris & Cory Booker are 2 of the ANGRIEST people I have ever seen.  Every last one of them wants to make America into a Socialist hell-hole.

It was a DEMOCRAT (Franklin Roosevelt) who put 110,000 Japanese-Americans in "internment camps" in the USA during World War Two.  Think about that!!

It was a DEMOCRAT (Lyndon Johnson) who started the "War on Poverty" & who put several hundred thousand African-Americans into "the Projects" also known as "subsidized housing" also known as the "urban plantations."

Gay marriage?  William & Hillary Clinton, & Barack & Michelle Obama --- all 4 of them issued public statements that they opposed gay marriage!!! Just one more example of the pure & utter & total hypocritical  mindset of the Leftists...

KYRiley, which of your expectations did Trump exceed?

Dirtyarizona, a few questions:

1) How many Republicans objected to the internment of citizens and non-citizens of Japanese descent during World War II?

2) The Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, signed by Lyndon Johnson, represented a shift from high-rise subsidized living to low-rise garden type apartments.  What exactly did Republicans do to eliminate substandard housing?

3) As for gay marriage, how many Republicans came out publicly for it when the Clintons and Obamas stated their reservations?

Why? Would you rather vote for that serial killer psychopath Hillary? Or Uncle Joe Pedophile Biden? Or Kamala I Hate America and Americans Harris?  Or the total dumbass Cory Booker? Every single fucking candidate is a fucking unAmerican joke with their heads up their ass.

Or perhaps you've consumed too much far right fiction and have become unthered to reality?

Mercifully neither - I'm not given the vote. I was brought up in a world where America meant freedom.  It showed that if you trusted the people and allowed them to go about their business undisturbed you not only had a happier populace, you had a richer and militarily more powerful one too.  It saw off the  dictators of the thirties, the central planners and above all perhaps made politics about "what is the right thing to do?" not just "what's in it for me?"
It was the envy of the world whether it was the ideals or the money you were after.  Or sex - nutrition and sunshine beat tweed jackets and socialism every day. Of course, not perfectly or without exceptions.
And I know I'm growing old too.  Even so Trump v Biden is as unappealing a choice as it is possible to imagine (ok, I know it could be worse, there's Mike Pence, Nigel Farage, Jeremy Corbyn, Silvio Berlusconi etc). It's  a big country with a lot of very able people.  Surely you can do better than that? A school bully who hasn't grown out of it (whose personal and public definitely do not say small hands to me) and the bloke who nicks Neil Kinnock's speeches  (right down to the childhood memories of Aberystwyth bit).
Is is just me or is the tone of the debate part of the problem?  Everyone has to believe the other side is corrupt/evil not simpy wrong/mistaken.  Any who isn't thinks sod this, I don't have to take this and leaves.
What I loathe about Donald Trump is that his default assumption is bad faith and makes accusations of serious wrongdoing for effect.
But then I think of Biden going to church on Ash Wednesday and getting the priest to use a coalbucket and his entire hand (and not the traditional more modest dab ot ash a little sliver thingie) so that anyone who is Catholic doesn't forget he's one of them  (shudder) ....although funny that, I could have sworn he was an aetheist from Bedwelty.
And like someone said I only came on here for a wank (eeew now there is horrible thought)

My thoughts on this topic specifically and voting in general is this... we're never going to have a perfect candidate to vote for, there will always be something in the past that will upset some and something from the present that will upset others.  But what is true is that we need to vote with a more critical eye to the entire package.

1) Big picture, does the candidate's party generally (90% of the time) align with your values?

2) Do the proposed policies have data from multiple sources to support their outcomes?

3) Do the proposed policies have any negative financial impact on the most vulnerable of our communities?

4) How do the policies support the general population (not just the business community)?

5) Who benefits the most/least?

6) Does the rhetoric mirror the actions (past and current)?

7) How can you verify the results?

Those who do not vote are just as bad as those who vote out of fear or personal gain.  The role of government is to protect us, if they are not protecting our individual rights, our environment, our health, and the safety of our community, then the only way is to vote people in who will.  Trump = a complete disgrace and most of the GOP who are not speaking out against him are only supporting his abuse of power.

Both sides ARE corrupt. I believe the Adrenochrome stories about mostly Democrats. Child sex is used as blackmail. They sell themselves to the highest bidder and think they will have a position with the One World Government.

DJT is a hollow shell with no moral center. Invade Venezuela? “Sure”. Drone elementary schools? “Why not! It’s not like they are White!” Take the guns first? “OK with me, I have armed guards!” He has heard his base leaving and is currently pretending to stop the endless wars and protect the Second Amendment, but he is NOT to be trusted. Remember, Trump Jr. likes to shoot animals for fun and Jerod Kushner has your Microchip ready for when the Dollar implodes.
