The Gasoline Shortage

ErosWired

To all of you guys reading this who drive a car and are experiencing the nationwide shortage of gas money, this is an open plea -

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL YOU KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE “I don’t have any gas money” SCAM

Do you not realize that every other fucking moron on your app trying to make bank on spank is using the exact same stupid con?

Think it through - If you’re out of gas and can’t afford to get any more, how are you going to get to me for me to give you money to buy gas to get to me, and if you could get to me in the first place, why should I give you money just to subsidize your sexual habit?

Not shitting you - every single time I spend any time at all on the apps I get, without exception, at least two and often more young fatheads who try to spin me up for a hookup only to tell me at the last that they’re on empty and broke, but if I’ll just give them some gas money they’ll be right over.

It’s become such a joke now that any of you still trying to get by with this wheeze are just embarrassing yourselves. If you’re not going to play unless a guy opens his pocket first, at least be up front about it for fuck’s sake and quit pretending you’re not a vendor. Even if you’re trying to make it some kind of code for what it really means, it still just sounds ridiculous. I’m tired of having my intelligence insulted by dumbasses with a shitty business model.

Do us all a favor and give it a rest.

Because if you try it on me you’re going to waste your time and I’m going to tell you the same thing I tell all the others: I never have to pay for sex, sweetie - for all the men who come to me again and again, my ass is the reward.

lol, sigh. One thing about most scammers is they seem to think everyone is stupid and that they are somehow the bright ones. i remember the first time someone tried to scam me, i was driving down the street and he literally chased after me with a gas can. i figured him for a scammer, but since he took initiative, i stopped. He asked for money, and i told him i had none, but i gave him a ride to a gas station. So funny, he didn't really want to go out of his way to an actual gas station, but at that point he felt trapped in his lie and had to go along with it.

Strangely enough, on Grindr and Growlr,I get a load of messages from Americans who are in the Army. The profiles all say that they are "looking for true love ...Distance doesn't matter when the heart is touched... Loving and caring"(Yadda Yadda Yadda)

Their name will be a very "American",,like Chet, Dillon, Chuck, Zak (You know, names that we in the rest of the world think you are all called). The profile pic is always some Jock.

They are all from Florida, Miami, Downtown. That is their word order not mine.

The message will always say that they are new, on the app, looking for true love and that my profile really touched them.

They are in the US Army in Afghanistan (are you lot still there?) They have distance on the profile which could make them in Afghanistan...or  West Africa. Spot them a mile off, but I was getting 3 a day area months. It is getting irritating.

lol, That's a scam i have encountered a lot, on all sorts of gay sites.  i seems to me that it is one of a few scripts that all scammers seem to read from?  At first, it totally cracked me up reading "looking for true love..." on a hookup site. i think the military angle is to justify the distance, these guys are probably scamming from a distant country. It does seem like it may be organized to some degree though, like it's not just some random guys scamming, but a group effort, which is why they all seem to be reading from the same script? Almost like a telemarketing organization.

Ok I'll see myself out of this thread because I have sent fuckbuds whole airline tickets to come fuck my brains out and load my hole repeatedly. 😂 But not for a first meeting of course!

My very first homosexual encounter was with a man who traveled for no other purpose but to meet me in Nashville, Tennessee from - not making this up - the Canadian Yukon Territory.

I did not give him any gas money.

I fully respect your view on this.

For guys I already know, I don't mind helping them to get where I am. I'd rather make it easy as possible for him to come to me than taking my chances on strangers and getting flaked on. But it's gotta be top shelf dick. I've never regretted this policy.

I find asking them about what unit they are in derails them pretty quickly.

I definitely see where you’re coming from with that - I wouldn’t even class that sort of thing in the same category as “paying” for contact because it’s not transactional - you’re simply making it easier for yourself and the people you know to connect. Plus, with guys you know and/or have previous experience (in my case, “know” is a bit of a stretch with most of my regulars... or “acquainted”, “know by name” or even “recognize on sight”) you know you’re not dealing with a scam.

I’m curious if this is guys around my age as I’m guilty of doing this. Back in Craigslist days I’d have guys offer me gas money to come over and fuck. I’m not gonna lie...if a guy was marginally interesting but he was willing to throw in $20 or $30 dollars it moved the needle with me. If that makes me a whore, that’s fine, I own that. I started using that to chase off guys on CL and Grindr but found some were willing to pay, sometimes as much as $50 and sometimes I’d take it. I did a fair amount of that when I was in Dallas and hustled a little bit here and there as it was easy money. Asking for gas money is an easy dodge as you’re not asking for money for sex and kind of skirts prostitution charges in case it’s a cop. For a lot of guys my age the logic is you’re not hustling or escorting as they’re paying for gas, not sex. It kind of makes you “less gay” if you’re struggling with your sexual identity too. I know a couple Army guys at Fort Hood who do the same thing to get around entrapment. Is it silly and kind of disingenuous? Sure. Do I still do it? I’m not gonna lie...sometimes.

I usually respond by saying "Sorry, I'm not interested in a long distance relationship scam" .. interesting enough, their profiles disappear!

I've had a few people ask me for gas money so they can drive over to hook up. I don't fault them if they're legitimately tight on funds. I usually ask them how much they want. If it's more than the reasonable price of getting there and back, I offer only as much as I think it takes in gas to drive here and back. Most of them end up agreeing to the lesser amount and come over. I've actually had some very hot sex with some oddly interesting people this way.
