there aren't many/any platforms that have the subscriber base like X/twitter .. I tried bsky/Bluesky at the beginning of the year - it's much smaller - they're almost at 14m.   But i haven't seen any of the nastiness there either.  They have real people who respond to support questions .. the users have been nice.  Depending on what you're looking for - if it's pictures/video - try bdsmlr.com and reblogme.com .. well actually use legacy.reblogme.com .. the "reblogme.com" is testing new software and i think it sucks.  bdsmlr and legacy.reblogme.com use the same software platform .. it's slow .. it's times out at peak times .. it's frustrating at times .. but it's mainly pictures/video ..
