ErosWired Posted October 31, 2022 Report Posted October 31, 2022 …has anyone heard where he stands on posting adult content? His stated intention to make the platform more open for free expression doesn’t necessarily (in my view) mean he’s going to equally endorse content he doesn’t personally find acceptable, and if he doesn’t like porn - or thinks it hurts his bottom line - I can imagine a significant impact due to the Golden Rule - He who has the gold makes the rules. 3
negbtm Posted October 31, 2022 Report Posted October 31, 2022 Just fill your porn with a bunch of slurs and anti-semitic rants and you should be fine ~*sarcasm*~ But I haven't heard either way, I assume it'll eventually get cracked down on as he tries to transform it into his universal X app bs 1 2 2

HAHAHAHAHA ... fun twist on the ancient and never-failing truth. How one man can control the (mis) information consumed by millions on a daily basis is a real problem. Rupert must be turning over in his (damn - still anticipated) grave. 2

NWUSHorny Posted October 31, 2022 Report Posted October 31, 2022 If you add a Proud Boy or evangelical tag to your profile, you should be safe as long as you grow a beard and stick to leather and other masculine fetish gear in your pics and videos. Just don't do pics and videos in drag. 1
TightBott7 Posted October 31, 2022 Report Posted October 31, 2022 I’ve just deactivated my Twitter account. 1

Or any other of the (anti) "social networks" either. They seemed from day one to be puffs of smoke in a windstorm, and I much prefer to spend my allotted "ether-time" right here with my BreedBrothers.
Justyn Posted November 1, 2022 Report Posted November 1, 2022 A non- issue for this site Twitter is dull, already. 1

There’s a thread on this very board for members to post links to Twitter porn, so not a non-issue for this site. Just because the porn on Twitter doesn’t excite you personally doesn’t mean the issue is irrelevant. But that’s not really the point anyway. Musk is poised to have a sweeping impact across the internet landscape.
Kayne Posted November 2, 2022 Report Posted November 2, 2022 I am not a joiner and have resisted the urge to join Twitter, even after non members could no longer see X-Rated material. I am NOT paying 8 bucksca nonth for a verified account. I just fucking wish bugmenot had A viable account log in. oh well
Justyn Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Again, a non-issue. With SO many free sites that have every deviation (especially THIS one, which I love), who cares what that one has or does not have. If a Company changes a policy to something you do not like, just move to the next instead all this whining. Probably the same little snowflakes that used Facebook and all that other crap. There are WAY too many choices to use, unless too lazy. If you REALLY hate it, buy the Company and make you our world, with your own rules. Better still, create your own site. Geezzzz......just stick to the sex and drug use we have here, and ALL the other sites out there, and be glad for it. None existed over 30 years ago, anyway. 3 1
ErosWired Posted November 7, 2022 Author Report Posted November 7, 2022 4 hours ago, Justyn said: If you REALLY hate it, buy the Company and make you our world, with your own rules. Oh? You have a spare $44 billion lying around you can use to just buy and change a major global internet media company and change the tules to suit you? How nice for you. No wonder you consider it a “non-issue”. Create your own company? Again, I didn’t realize you had access to that kind of capital, or that you were a programming genius with an uncanny sense of how to convert that into a viable business plan. Your comments betray a very shallow understanding of the interlocking nature of the social media infrastructure and the influence of major media outlets on culture. What we’re witnessing is the ability of one man being able to decide how millions of people can or can’t express themselves, what information they can or cannot see, and how information affects our society. The ability to post and access pornography is just one facet of that. No, it is not a ‘non-issue’. The whole landscape of internet porn and sexual contact has undergone major shifts in just the last couple of years because of site changes, and in some cases you can’t just jump to an equivalent alternative. Amateur content is harder to find now, and harder to post. Doublelist notwithstanding, there is still yet no real replacement for Craigslist. You may consider it a ‘non-issue’, but you don’t speak for anybody else. Some of us are actually paying attention.
toolman1966 Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Less than 20% of the USA are active on twitter and those who are active have 3 accounts, so the twitter universe isn't that large. I used to work for a fortune 200 consumer goods co. that had 20 accts. or more that was used for marketing with only one verified. One man or used to be a dozen deciding how people can or can't express themselves it's not going to affect our society... twitter is in-relevant Meta is firing another 3k+ (would be over 6k this yr) people in the next week but no outcry in the media or public... no one saying their canceling their accounts and they censor 10k accounts per month. No, I don't use any Meta apps for personal use
Kayne Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 O never had a Twitter account. I did have a Tumblr account, which had one of the best (top 10 percentile on the platform) followings on the platform. I left when Verizon took over and "banned" Adult content. or specifically "Indecent content of a bomosexual nature not in line with our community standards" This decision cut me off from the porn that still remained. As has my decision not to have a Twitter. I do hate that ' Adult content" is now hidden by and large . but somehow I feel vindicated *shrug*
