First European trip, Amsterdam information?

My friend and I are looking to travel late spring or early summer and have been talking about Amsterdam as the destination and need some help from experienced travelers or locals. 
This is the first trip abroad for my friend and I and We are looking for clubs/bar scene, sex club/sauna and cruising. Ideally, a fun and piggy first trip. Anyone with experiences in Amsterdam have advice or experiences to share? Where to stay, where to go, what to expect? Web resources? Finding lots of traditional travel info but not a great deal on where and what to expect in the sex scene.
