Thanks @viking8x6   Hopefully we didn't lose BootmanLA as a result.

We didn't. He and @drscorpio are both in LA and now access the site using VPN software. Which is a general technical solution to the blocking problem.

Newsom signs child internet privacy legislation into California law around September 16, 2022.  The law will also require tech companies to incorporate technology to verify a user's age before allowing access. The law will go into effect on June 2024.

Thanks.  I was expecting they were.

it's so ridiculous!

Definitely Van.  We all know the social pendulum swings.  I am hoping it will slow its course soon and start to swing back.

The current Governor doesn't care what industry is huge - can't get much larger than Disney and he has no problems trying to control them.  He thinks he's king and he's been doing and will continue to do whatever he wants to make FL in his image.

I live in Florida so I get his ego. The porn industry also hasnt criticised him so they would be fine. Disney doing it is what brought that wrath down, and the courts will likely overturn all of it like how they have overturned like.. 85% of his other major things.

Just a huge PR stunt on his end... not that its doing him any favors

Hi, I'm in NY and the site is unusable. Every link I ht may bring me to something called MalePorn. I've tried searching online but to no avail. Is this real? Should I register? I've sent emails. LTS. I need this site to work. I'll keep trying to navigate but I'm getting redirects.

Would have been nice to get a popup heads up or pinned notification before I had to go download a bunch of new apps to get back on.

Glad to see the site is still here.

BTW, that landing page looks and feels like a scam site-from the "erotic content warning" to the "must be 13+ to access" (where TF is 13 "legal" to access adult content?!) it REALLY felt like y'all got hijacked.

The lack of warning is mostly because I had a stroke 8 weeks ago and am struggling to get even the basics done. The only thing I’m even kinda doing properly right now is therapy.

Male Prime has no explicitly pornographic images and no videos, which is why I redirect there. (It’s an erotica site which mentions porn, not a porn site). Serving any content to kids under 13 is  legally complicated, hence the warning.

It’s Male Prime, not Male Porn. That’s my “SFW” erotica site.

You haven’t given me enough detail to help you. There are no states near NY that are blocked. Which means your ISP is giving you a IP address that was previously (fairly recently) used in a blocked state. The ads on this site barely cover hosting costs, so I don’t pay for the more accurate/up-to-date geoIP service.

You do mention “links”. Is the problem only when you click on a link? Which links exactly? But honestly I don’t see how you can access this site, but have a problem with links.

Can confirm.  Live 60 miles south of drscorpio and had to get ExpressVPN and put in a Chicago location to get back in here.  Louisiana is surrounded by Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi who are all on the list.
