"(Reuters) -Republican mega-donor Bernie Marcus said on Tuesday he would likely still give money to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential bid if the former president was convicted of a crime - but the billionaire does not plan to be one of his biggest financial backers.

Marcus, a co-founder of home improvement retailer the Home Depot, announced earlier this month that he was supporting Trump, the runaway frontrunner for the 2024 Republican nomination contest that kicks off on Jan. 15 in Iowa."

Marcus is the founder of Home Depot, and at the time of his retirement (in 2002) from the company held an estimated 60 million shares of the company, but analysts believe he has since sold essentially all of his shares.

Meaning: while Marcus is vile in many ways, money spent at Home Depot no longer enriches him in any way. There may be other reasons not to shop there or other big box stores, because of their impact on local retailers, but that's not one of them.

Whew !!  Homo Depot is within walking distance (for smaller items).  Lowe's is a "drive-to" destination for anything.  

btw, the john at the H.D. on Sunrise & 4th is a hotttt cruising spot - as most locals must surely know.
