Tips on cruising a truck stop

I pull in to a nearby truck stop, but never know what signals to look for. Many are parked with shades down. Aways intimidated to approach those that appear to be sitting there.

It's just a rest area, with no facilitis for drivers. Always here hot stories online, but in real life I never know what to expect. 

How can you tell if they are looking?

In all my years of cruising, only twice did I hook up with a trucker in a rest area. In both cases they came on to me first.

There have been other times where a trucker has hit me up on an app and asked me to meet him at a truck stop,  rest area or once a Walmart parking lot. All were memorable as play in the cab of a big rig is definitely a hot fantasy for lots of us.

I worked at a rest stop on i10 for a summer. The only way I got any action was posting on Craigslist and then meeting truckers.

I suspect anyone looking is going to be monitoring the apps like everyone else and not trusting to chance that someone is going to come by and happen to notice some clandestine signal. The only experience I had with a trucker at a truck stop was with a man who called me in off an app to a truck stop near my home, to be bred by him in the cab of his truck. You could always go there and post your availability on an app like Sniffies or Grindr and be there and ready if someone turns up, but I’m guessing you’d just spend a lot of time waiting go or opportunities that might or might not come.

Back in the day, like 25 years ago, truckers used to flash their lights if you walked by and they were interested. That was long before smartphones so I’m not sure if it’s still a thing.

The first thing I did when I got my drivers license at 16 years old was attempt to cruise the truck stops. 

 

I had heard that you have to hang around the showers.

Or even better, take a long shower yourself and leave the door cracked slightly open as an invitation to fuck.

Then I've heard something about flashing your headlights (at night).

 

But its 2024 so Sniffies and Grindr are most likely more effective.

I used to live by a rest stop many, many years ago in Ohio (before the internet) and was fortunate enough that it glory hole. So I would stick to cruising the restroom. The old foot shuffle and finger in the hole was usually enough to get an interested party to stick their dick through the hole.  (Though ended up going back to the truck with few of the men I met from the restroom.) 

I just always figured if the shades were closed they were sleeping, I'd walk around the trucks at times, but then head to the restroom. I always figured if they saw me go in, they'd get the idea lol.  

The funny thing about that hole looking back, was it would get covered with steel plates and by the next day it would be ripped off lol.  Always pictured someone going in with a full tool set to make sure tat glory stayed open!

Back in the day (15-20 years ago now), I did the foot tapping thing in the restroom stalls of a rest area I stopped at sometimes....usually was a waste of time, but got some head a couple times too.  Never went back to their truck, though.

my personal experience w truck stops is it's a good way to hook up w other frustrated guys being ignored by the truckers they came to cruise. 

it does seem like the best way to hook up w a trucker is to contact him online and make plans to meet altho i've never successfully done this. 

but i have hung out at truck stops and gotten plenty of non-trucker D so don't really feel like im missing anything.

That definitely was the signal. In my case both were when we were all alone at the urinals in the rest room very late at night.

I haven't hooked up with a truck driver for several years but when younger I scored with several. My second gay encounter ever was getting fucked in a sleeper unit.
