Democrats don’t understand economics and thus misinterpret objections to illegal immigration. Whenever I hear Some democrat blah-blahing about racism, I’m immediately aware that 1) they either don’t understand economics well enough to recognize MASSIVE resource reallocation; or 2) maybe they understand and embrace theft. Either way, stupidity or immorality are highly unimpressive.

If the US government deported ALL the illegal immigrants, the aim of Trump & the current Republican movement, the US economy would collapse. It is these people who fill the job vacancies, that "legal" citizens refuse to do, because moneybags like Trump refuse to pay a decent wage to. That is simple economic FACT.

Indeed, I would hope we keep talking until we find a set of facts we can agree upon.  In recent years nuance seems to have been lost with overplay of comparatively less important things.  We edit ourselves when we should just speak freely and accept "I disagree" with grace.

It's got to be sarcasm nobody could be that freaking stupid or care so little about the country or their neighbors nobody not it's impossible not possible

Anyone who would support tdump is a communist and believes in authoritarian dictatorships which is the antithesis of America so it can't be

Or they suffer from traumatic brain injury I mean one or the other I would I am loath to think that anyone in this country could be so ill-educated so ill read and so immoral has to not give a tinker's damn about the country or their neighbors it's not the America I know

If you replace Harris with Trump in the above comment, I would agree.

Those are not facts at all.

I would agree but, the Dems & left worldwide, don't want us speaking out & being honest for fear of offending or bullying someone, whilst the Republicans say far too much that is so rediculous that it borders on the extreme "fantasmagorical".

I cant Believe the fucking Democrat losers revel in Liz and Dick Cheney endorsements nowadays and think that’s evidence of their party’s moderation. Dick killed 10 million souls and now he put the blood mark on Kamala the great moderate. If I got Cheney endorsements I’d volunteer to be in a snuff film maybe paid for by the Soros foundation.

I don't consider it evidence of anyone's moderation. Perhaps the problem is that you are imagining why we welcome endorsements from the Cheneys so that your imagination can fit your narrative.

As any Democrat worth his salt will tell you: the Cheneys do not agree with the Democratic Party's stance on pretty much anything (except same-sex marriage, given that one of Dick's daughters is a married lesbian; Liz was initially opposed to same-sex marriage but has come around). But they, and we, agree that Trump is an existential threat to democracy in this country, especially with a Supreme Court determined to give him immunity for almost anything he does as president.

And the point we make is that if someone as conservative (in the true sense of the word) as Dick Cheney or Liz Cheney can accept and endorse Kamala Harris over the senile rapist who'll let the worst of the worst take over the government permanently, then we happily accept their help, and hope we both live to argue policy another day. They don't buy the idiotic rhetoric that Kamala represents a communist plot to destroy America or any of the other garbage the right and its idiot supporters are pushing.

Disagree, I love Trump and Vance

You can love whomever you want, but disagreeing is silly because the poster stated objectively true facts. Vance DID whine about being fact-checked during the debate - millions of people saw him do it - and Trump DID bail on a 60 Minutes interview because they wouldn't agree to not fact-checking him, a demand his campaign made.

You can disagree with facts, I suppose, but that doesn't cast a flattering light on your observational skills.

Neither are worthy of running the screwed up country.  Trump had kept closed boarders, the current P and VP opened the border, no border no country.

There is broad agreement which lead, after years of kicking this around, to a bipartisan border agreement which the majority of our elected folk support.  There is only one reason why that isn't in place now; improving our border security and that is Mr T.  Let's stop pretending "that ain't so".

You seem to be asserting that Trump ran a closed border (not tenants as you wrote).  The rate was certainly slower but the quality of care and control lacked.  Things have been too open under Biden.

I find it laughable that we have RECORD travel and busy airports in this "decimated" economy so many are whining about.  We know the global response to Covid majorly disrupted supply chains.  Further right at that time as the fast food places wanted staff regardless of minimum wage laws, the effective minimum wage raised to about $15 and above.  I have no history in hiring illegals, but I surmise that they sign on for less than that.

We are living during peak employment times.  Lot's of jobs, too few to fill them.  But indeed cost of goods went up during covid and continued in many areas (but lowered in others).  We haven't stablized from that yet.  A dock worker strike would, of course, once again disrupt supply chain and once again lead to higher prices.

I never used the word (tenants).  Ad-libbing sentences is why everything is screwed up.  Where are all the jobs?  Interest rates for those of us trying to buy a home is higher now than when trump was around.  Fuel, power, food was lower with him.  Yet you all keep blaming him during this administration.  The gall runny for president had one simple job, keep the border safe.  Yup she did a great job, she let in over 10 million.  There's facts!  Too much brainwashing going on folks.  Left is blaming others for their personal emotions to control you all and it's working great for their plan, that's call Manipulating Grandiose Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  Have an awesome day!

No you didn't use the word "tenant".  You used a synonym....  "Trump had kept closed the boarders".

Yes costs were lower pre pandemic.  That didn't make Trump a miracle worker.  Nor does it make Biden ineffective.  You seem to have expected a major pandemic would have no other impact.

Interestingly, recent reports indicate that the Mexican Government was more responsible for severely limiting border crossings*, simply because they didn't want another go-around with the former US President.

Good on Obrador (and Pardo), as far as I'm concerned.

*Apparently, the undocumented, the refugees with sordid histories, etc, were sent back to Mexico's southern border, and then repatriated to the country of origin.
