before the internet .. working downtown .. across from the train station is a "newspaper" store .. newspapers, mags, cigs, cigars, etc .. in the back - all open/no curtains - adult magazines .. i bought a couple of gay mags .. paper stock is thick .. printing is so-so .. all b&w .. all solo .. dicks are soft .. no cruising there - wasn't that kind of place - but FUCK i was hooked and went back every so often to see if there was anything new ..

Saw the topic and dropped down the rabbit hole. 15.5 New DL, ABS, I was a computer geek but this was DARPANET days with Mainframes and Terminals Commodore had not yet hit the market, Trash 80's were still unattainable. If you went to the Queen City of the Ozarks you might find a BlueBoy, Heavy Metal Magazine was about as gay as you could find in Grocery Stores. the sleazy ABS was a whole new world, then I found the Video Arcade and though who would game in a place with some much published porn and amazing toys. Then My Eyes were truly opened, what I had 'discovered' at an unmentionable age with some of my closet friends had been discovered by others, note, that only the highest tech smut stores had video, Most was 8mm 'film'. Ah, those were the days.
