I recently had a round of non-specific prostatitis - ran a panel, no STIs.  My doctor assured me that bottoming does not injure the prostate in any way, but I do seem to experience some difficulties peeing after bottoming. Anyone else experience this? Is my doctor mistaken?  This particular round took a couple of weeks of meloxicam and tamulosin to get me back to “normal” (man, aging sucks!)

There is some evidence (scant, but some) that regular prostate massage actually helps with things like benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Your doctor is correct that generally speaking bottoming doesn't injure the prostate. That said, in cases of acute prostatitis, being fucked can spread the infection.

My gay Dr. believes that prostate health begins with message. He said in all of his years he has never found a bottom that has had prostate cancer.  He started to check mine years ago. Long before it was needed. lol. He said mine is great and keep doing what I’m doing. He knows I’m a total slut so that was also a joke.

I've always heard bottoming is good for it 🤷‍♂️

Immediately after a heavy fuck session, either multiple tops, one top who can go for multiple rounds, or rough / rage fucking, my prostate is definitely tender and it can be hard to take a leak until things "calm down" in there. But after a run of the mill butt fucking with just one casual bud,  never had a problem.

My doctor knows I'm gay and a bottom, and as I've reached middle age has had the prostate health talk with me. Mainly just recommending I shoot at least four or five loads a week, more is better. I am curious what he says about bottoming and prostate health, I may ask next checkup.

After getting fucked, i have problems peeing. It's difficult to get started, slower stream, and a little painful.

My doctor indicated it could be BPH and let me try a daily low dose cialis which helps reduce prostate swelling slightly. It helped a little. But i still have issues with prostate swelling after intense fucking.

It's not a major issue yet. BTW, I'm almost 60 years old.

I've been taking Cialis periodically and it does seem to help with everything, although I did discover you shouldn't take it with cannabis.  they are both vasodilators and I took them both when at a sex club with my girlfriend nd wound up passing out!  Thankfully no permanent damage, but it was embarrassing as hell (plus, screwed up our chances to hook up with this really hot young twink! Lol).

I think the prostatic was just a random event.  I been fucked repeatedly over the last couple of weeks (some pretty intense fucks) with no recurrence and just a little post-fuck hesitation.  As my Dr. said - the prostate is a really weird organ.  Ha ha.

Sadly, i am proof that being a bottom doesn’t stop you from getting prostate cancer. i sometimes wonder if the time i spent in chastity made my prostate cancer come on quicker.

I am of the opinion that blood flow, through whatever mechanism, is critical to all organ health. The blood is what carries waste products away from all organs. Lack of sexual activity, ie maturation therefore can't be a good thing. Locking your organs in chastity is just asking for trouble. I have live by the adage "a load a day keeps the PSA away.

Just A thought.

After a long-ish dry spell where I simply had no time or opportunity to get fucked, I started to notice urination was harder, slower, and as a result more frequent.

After I got well pounded and some seed in my ass, the problems resolved. Put me in the "getting fucked is good for my prostate health" column.

Well, after the year I have had, I should meet your doc. I began getting fucked more than half a century ago and have been a bottom the whole time. The 70's in NYC, and countless  ( well, OK, at least 10,000 ) men since, some repeats but many one shot wonders. And I failed the PSA test last year, doubling from a 3.8 the prior years test. And the ordeal began. MRI, needle biopsy, cancer diagnosis, lots of internet reading ( I do have a great source for reliable, accurate and UNBIASED prostate cancer info, but reach out and ask me privately) . Meeting with a radiology oncologist, and ultimately settling on a course of action that unfortunately required a period of testosterone suppression/ blocking as well as radiation treatments ( 28) . I  gave up saliva for DNA research testing- and while I tested negative for the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene, which predispose a prostate cancer risk, damned if  I didn't have it anyway.

Here is one thing as to the original post- after getting fucked, your prostate has ( hopefully)  had a lot of pounding and stimulation, and like any part of your body, it responds to that, and will be slightly swollen and puffy for a bit And that can contribute to an issue pissing, since the urethra runs right thru the core of the prostate. FYI, bike riding can also cause similar issues, since the urethra and prostate are getting squeezed and impacted by the bike seat and bumps. Anyone getting a PSA test should refrain from sex and strenuous exercise, including bike riding- even stationary bikes in the gym, for 2 or 3 days prior to the exam.  If you are having issues pissing even when not active, then you should see a urologist. And while you might be on the receiving end of the " physicians handshake" ( digital rectal exam)  that practice is fading from modern practice as PSA test results are much better at identifying actual tumor activity.

BTW- Cialis was originally created to treat frequent urination and bladder urge- until they discovered in trials how much better it was at giving men a boost getting erections- and while  a lot of guys develop leakage and frequency issues, the bigger bucks were in the boner business. Most insurance will not pay for Cialis, until you have tried Tamsulosin, and when that fails, Finesteride ( both of which have a side effect of killing libido!) If you can get your doc to write a 90 script for 5mg once a day dosing, and use something like GoodRx and pay out of pocket, you can usually get 3 months worth for roughly $30.

I am sure that my Dr said his comments off the cuff. He never said anything about not following through with required checks. He would not do that. I am sorry that you have had such a bad year.

After trying Tamsulosin and Tadalafil (Cialis generic) separately, the combination of the two helps with flow AND libido more than each separately and the two don't have contraindications with each other. That said, you need to watch for contraindications in other drugs. Rapaflo on the other hand can really give a ton of side effects that aren't desired in combination with Cialis.

I've had no issues with getting insurance to cover it when Tamsulosin is prescribed together.
