Before we become too complacent about VPNs being our saviour, it’s worth remembering that the Labour Party, then in opposition, urged the then-government in 2022 to crackdown on the use of VPNs, which doesn’t inspire confidence for the future.

They are extremely easy to use. The cost varies, so it pays to shop around. Like me, you probably just want it for viewing US Netflix from the UK and vice versa. Obvs… 😜

VPN cannot be a solution for this. Not permanent at least, it's temporary. Yes if we can we use it, but it means, go out of the window when the door is locked - when we all should do our best to fight that lock.

I have never been able to really find out from (mobile phone, telecommunication providers), if I subscribe to a VPN provider do I also need a normal provider. In Australia, I subscribe to Optus. If I go to a VPN, do I need to stay with Optus. 

I know how to deal with a broken leg, a snake bite or a cardiac arrest BUT, I am a complete TECH IDIOT & advice is essential.

 I don’t know what is worse. Having a powerful upper house with equal representation for all states on a state by state basis (and the inequalities of that arrangement, as intended) and a final determination by the president - places where perhaps good legislation goes to die (as in 🇺🇸)

or

A powerful lower house that has the propensity to rush to terrible legislation that gets passed by the Commons, and then ceremoniously rubber stamped by an handpicked House of Lords and a King. 🇬🇧 

Democracy is a lovely idea but the concept of a flawed democracy is also a thing, amirite?

Well they can crack down all they like I am still using one untill they are willing to pay for things like if I get my Id stolen, my laptop hacked , my passwords stolen , bank accounts hacked so on , untill they say they will pay for it all then I am still using mine the Labour Party are not fit for office , I know how hard it is when you lose money I lost £6k on a electric wheelchair scam that the bank will not help with but they want the money back fast if they make a mistake and put to much into your bank account they want it all back and you have to pay it , you get it stolen via a scam ,or hacked then it’s your problem you have to pay it again , being sick and disabled and can’t work anymore it’s hard. Not to have any money whatsoever,I lost that money will not get it back at all , so that’s why going to us a VPN they not willing to stop the hackers , the scammers so on so you use a vpn

I, too, will continue to use a VPN as well. I hope they don't restrict their use but I'm afraid I don't trust them at all.

You can google VPN services which apply to your "home" network, whether that is on a modem/router you own, your mobile phone.  Each provider will have info on where and how to install.  Or, if necessary, ask one of your geekier friends.  🙂  

VPN is a Virtual Private Network.  Because the network you buy isn't your actual location; it is the VPN provider's location that is used.

To add to this:

VPN = Virtual Private Network. Basically you are running a tunnel between your computer and the VPN endpoint. You can pay for that, if you trust the company you pay, or you can use the free TOR web browser which got all of that build in: torproject.org

I prefer something people like Snowden etc. are using before I pay a company to spy on my data.

Labour or any government can jump up and down, wave their arms and shout as much as they like but apart from maybe getting fit, or not, VPN has quite some legitimate use. Cloud providers are using that between their data centres, so do banks, NHS, all big cooperative companies which are working on multiple sites. So chill, that will never happen. The technology is there and is being actively used (see the TOR project). As long as the site does not block the TOR exit points, which would be highly counter productive for them, there is a way to access the website. After all, the Chinese people are doing that for years. So think about it.

I visited another country last year that blocks direct access to Breeding Zone. BZ was also blocked when using the Windscribe VPN service with IP addresses elsewhere, but it wasn’t blocked when using the Privado VPN service. That could change in future of course.

The Monarchy is a proven waste of time and money which should have been dissolved in 1952 (even though the deer, swans, and sea creatures, i.e., whales, porpoises, dolphins, and sturgeons, would be confused as that wretched lot have symbolic ownership of them).
