How many fuckbuddies do you have?

Yesterday I filled in a survey for a local HIV/Aids organisation and it got me thinking: what is a fuckbuddy and how many do I have?

The polling question I’ve asked is much the same as the one in the survey which required me to think about the guys I’d fucked and to categorise them. The survey question asked about “regular male sex partners” which they described as ‘long term partners, friends you have sex with and fuckbuddies’. In other words, your long term partner isn’t your fuckbuddy and nor is your friend.

I’ve both gained and lost fuck buddies in the recent past and I’m interested in how others count someone in or out of the category. I’ve wanted to build up my group of fuckbuddies as it is such hard work starting from scratch each time on the apps - how many fuckbuddies do others manage to have?

I have 4 fuckbuddies that live nearby that I have  been hooking up with regularly  from 2 to 4 years. I hook up with them separately and they have been the best fb's I've ever had.  I have a few others that live abroad and they are so much fun too.

A lot of my previous fb's have fabricated stories. A couple were like that movie single white female and many of them become possessive , some retaliated and became nasty. The ones that  were most troublesome are the ones that fell in love with me

it's only gone in one direction for me: i've become friends w guys i originally just fucked, but i have never later fucked someone i started out as friends with. 

but people move on, or move away. sexual compatibility is hard to be enough for a sustained relationship.

I have 8 guys I would consider fuck buddies. This doesn't mean we get a chance to fuck regularly or even often. The reasons for this very with each one.  With some it's a distance issue, with others it's work schedules,  with others complex relationship issues  that limit our chances.

Yeah, I had to sit and think long and hard but I think it's the same for me. I've become friends with lots of guys I started out fucking, but I've never gone sexual with a guy that I was friends with beforehand. Acquaintances, sure. But not somebody I knew good and had a friendship with.

And in terms of this topic in general (how many fuckbuds do you have?) I wanna say I find guys that are constantly fucking and sucking with all kinds of guys VERY HOT. Seems to me that's how men SHOULD be.

The same, have had many fuckbuds that I end up friends with but not the other way. I also have had the problem that @ffabbian mentioned about a fuckbud getting semi obsessed… not good.

right now I have 3 fixed buds and about 2-3 more that are regulars. I want to find more buds to have 3somes and dps with but haven’t found any permanent ones yet.

That tends to happen a lot in my experience. That's why I keep info limited at all times. I am there to get off. There have been a few times when I thought that I might want to become friends then I  think about worst scenario situations than just keep it the way it is.

I lost two fuckbuddies in the last year but in quite different ways. One guy, who I had got to know very well stopped having sex with me regularly because we had become good friends. Go figure. The other guy I made an innocent remark which he took very badly indeed. I had postponed a hookup and said casually that he had a very tight asshole. Strange🤔🤔🤔!!! With the overly large cohort of "Bug Chasers" that exist on BZ & other meeting sites, I find it hard to believe that Poz guys, with so many years of experience & oh so ready to pass it on, are unable to find FB's on a regular basis. Conclusions to draw🤔🤔🤔??? Are many of the Bug Chasers practicing "Ageism", some other nefarious excuse or is "Bug Chasing" something that is simply a fashionable talking point within the LGB+ community???
