Lately, there's been an effort to re-open an Eagle bar here in Ft. L., but apparently the would-be owner is still searching for suitable locations. Haven't heard much lately about it though. From a "business" point of view, it would have to be at least as <polite cough> fun as the Wilton Manors Eagle, and have plenty of damn parking !!! There are a number of suitable vacant buildings in the RamRod area, but I think the city would be hesitant to have two Leatherbars within midnight walking distance of each other. Plus, there are a lot of guys that bought homes in the area, for obviously convenient reasons. 1 Quote

I feel like the eagle leather bars have always gone through a period of trouble with owners trying to find the right way to keep it going or where it needs to move or ownership changes. That story sounds all too familiar. I would imagine that two leather bars can exist in the same city or area. But parking should definitely always be a priority. Slammer 1,2,3 was always fun in ft lauderdale and so was the clubhouse 2. If places like that can survive I think overall the bars and seediness or uninhibited aspect of bars will also live. Or at least I am hopeful they will. 1 Quote

I haven't been recently so I don't know if The Eagle is as no holds barred as it used to be. But it's cruisy. Thanks for that! I'll be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras in February 2026 and I have been looking for a place like the Eagle. Even if there is no open sex the fact that iit is cruisy is a start for me. Thank you..... That actually makes a lot of sense for the name. I am glad to hear that locals still visit that fuckjoint and I assume it's likely still active. One of the most fun places I've been to. Quote
