Lately, there's been an effort to re-open an Eagle bar here in Ft. L., but apparently the would-be owner is still searching for suitable locations. Haven't heard much lately about it though. From a "business" point of view, it would have to be at least as <polite cough> fun as the Wilton Manors Eagle, and have plenty of damn parking !!! There are a number of suitable vacant buildings in the RamRod area, but I think the city would be hesitant to have two Leatherbars within midnight walking distance of each other. Plus, there are a lot of guys that bought homes in the area, for obviously convenient reasons. 1 Quote

I feel like the eagle leather bars have always gone through a period of trouble with owners trying to find the right way to keep it going or where it needs to move or ownership changes. That story sounds all too familiar. I would imagine that two leather bars can exist in the same city or area. But parking should definitely always be a priority. Slammer 1,2,3 was always fun in ft lauderdale and so was the clubhouse 2. If places like that can survive I think overall the bars and seediness or uninhibited aspect of bars will also live. Or at least I am hopeful they will. Quote
