  1. But I can't see how infecting a bug chaser with a strain that's thought to be extremely mild makes their situation any worse. Chances are it will make it better. And if they're followed over the years the data can be helpful.
  2. Not yet. Hopefully he will now that most of the condom porn places will refuse to work with him.
  3. Are researchers bound by the Hippocratic oath? Either way, what they failed to realize in the height of the AIDS crisis and even now, is that there are people who would be willing to volunteer for dangerous clinical trials. Back then it was poz guys who only had a couple years to live anyway. Now it's people like bug chasers. I'm a firm believer in "first do no harm" - it's why I was so against PrEP for so long. But if the person is making an informed decision to participate, I don't see the problem.
  4. There are certain strains of HIV which they know are pretty harmless - people who have them are long-term non-progressors. They've known about these strains from the very early days of HIV research. I don't understand why they don't offer people to be infected with those strains since they can protect them from more serious strains of HIV. In other words whole, LIVE, viruses. Mind you I think it's only a decent idea for high-risk groups (like the guys on this site).
  5. Unless you plan on being a teacher (of kids) or a politician, go for it! It's a non-issue for most professions these days. If asked just own it. If you have no shame then people have no leverage against you.
  6. And another article on HuffPo… http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/04/rod-daily-gay-porn-star-hiv_n_3866682.html I've got a bunch of pics of Rod over on one of my blogs… http://www.wilywilly.com/porn/rod-daily Here's a pic of him getting fucked by daddy Arpad Miklos… And a pic of him getting fucked by someone else…
  7. Yes, the logos just changed on this site and on my tube site - RaunchyFuckers.com. Hopefully you guys like the new logos. I think they'll make a cool t-shirts (when I get around to that project). I'll continue to tweak things as I go along...
  8. I honestly have no clue what you're talking about.
  9. Your posts can be seen by clicking on the "view forum posts" on your profile.
  10. Yes, Jarod is poz. Not sure about the other stuff you ask.
  11. Let's say you're on a tube site (other than Raunchy Fuckers) and you see a video. It has some watermarked URLs on it. If you want to see more videos like that. Which URL would you type in to see more? Assume you've never heard of Raunchy Fuckers. Use these pics as examples of what you might be looking at (click to see larger versions of the pics)… I ask because the producer for Black Breeders was upset that I was watermarking the videos. But they're watermarked because people hotlink/steal the videos so they play on other sites while I have to pay for the bandwidth. So I'm just curious which watermark you think is most "authoritative" / the one that's most likely to get type-in visitors.
  12. The key is for doctors to tell guys on PrEP to come in quickly when they have possible seroconversion symtoms. If they go off Truvada quickly there won't be resistance.
  13. Some of us are in cities where the bathhouses suck thanks to our local Department of Health. When you take bathhouses out of the equation online sites become more important and you get more serious guys on them. Bottom line I think hookup sites (and smartphone apps) work best in dense urban areas.
  14. MascMountainMan - I generally agree with what you just said except in one respect… That's what I used to think, but it's not true. Because it's the HIV in your body that becomes resistant, neg guys can't become resistant to ARVs. Hence PrEP is unlikely to result in "widespread drug resistant HIV". Except in one respect - a some but not all of guys on PrEP who convert do become resistant, but that happens after they become poz, not before. So it will happen, but it won't be widespread.
  15. I can't organize anything for you, but would love to breed you sometime. Keep us up-to-date if you get a gangbang organized - I'll attend if I can make it.
  16. I don't think you can really do this type of analysis. The most recent data on per-incident risk is from before ARVs came out, and no one really knows how effective PrEP is. As they say "garbage in, garbage out".
  17. I had a chatroom, but it kept crashing. It's on my to-do list when I have some free time to dig into it.
  18. I read something recently that's there's a new rapid test that looks for antigens rather than antibodies so it can detect infection much more quickly. It's currently going through FDA approvals.
  19. Was the guy poz or neg?
  20. Agreed. There are 408 guys online in NY right now - at 8:30 in the morning!
  21. There is one bareback hookup site IMHO - BBRT. I think they'll be popular for some time to come - I'm not trying to knock them - just give barebackers another option. Bareback.com used to be a decent site. Then it changed and BBRT took over. I don't see it coming back. Who's behind Bareback Station? You need traffic to get a hookup site off the ground. There's only a few of us in the bareback community who have sufficient traffic. I could count the people/companies on one hand who could pull it off.
  22. What are some of the sites you think are really good, but under-marketed? The approach I'm planning on taking is to start with a straight-oriented dating software package and then modify it as needed so it suits what I need. I've found one that has most of what guys are looking for in a hookup site plus some stuff that isn't typically found on gay sites. That comes with full source code and is easily extensible - so it's a good starting place - much better than starting from scratch. BUT the more I think about things the more I want to focus on a mobile app. I'm convinced that's where the future is. Anyone know of a decent, gay iPhone that's whithered on the vine because of bad marketing? manranch.com has been registered since 2002 though it doesn't resolve when you try to pull it up.
  23. ranch.com, theranch.com, bbranch.com are all taken. I do have an idea that's semi-ranch related that's my favorite right now. It might let me do tongue-n-cheek and get past Apple's rules for apps. The really good domain names are taken, but not developed and the domain owners aren't responding to requests to sell. The OK, but not great domain name is available.
  24. Did you ever go? Can you describe it in detail for those of us who didn't go?
  25. It's costing me $225/month in copay. I'm not happy about the price - not at all.
