    It's done. We're a couple, legally. After having been secretly in love for more than a decade, after calling ourselves "best friends" for years. After that October 3rd 2022 when we touched each other naked for the first time. And later that year, he left his former wife, now here we are. 

    Those folks who say that legal recognition isn't essential for same sex couples? Only privileged can say this. We both have faced family members deaths during years, and being "no one" for institutions, means strangers can decide for your beloved and you count nothing.

    Not all countries have full recognized marriage, but every right we can obtain, we must use it, push it, ask politicians to improve it.
