  1. Bearbandit. Sure, I'll start writing it up tonight. It's going to take some time with a magnifying glass trying to read the PowerPoint print handout. :-)
  2. "Again, it sounds like an asshole doctor who cares more about his pride than his patients' health." Why should he care more about his patient's health than the patient does? I don't think that an asshole attitude at all. It would be the same for insulin or any other drug, or not obeying dietary restrictions, etc. If the patient's not going to take advice from the doctor, why bother giving it? The corollary to "...if you don't take your HIV meds, no more appointments." is "...if you take your HIV meds, I'll be glad to keep seeing you." Perfectly reasonable.
  3. "The doc told my bud, if you don't take your HIV meds, no more appointments." That makes perfect sense. If he's not going to follow the doctor's advice, why should he bother seeing him? He quits meds (obviously against doctor's orders), VL skyrockets (duh) and we should be surprised that the doctor lays down the law? Nope. The doctors may not always be right, but they are far more likely to be right than a patient who's just winging it, with no training. And when faced with empirical evidence that your actions are hurting you (spiking VL), the solution is to listen to the doctor. Or find a doctor who doesn't care what you do, and see how well that works out for you.
  4. Thanks. I haven't looked at that book in ages, and for some reason I have 2 copies. God forbid that with all those printings he'd ever get around to putting an index in that thing, right? Sheesh. I recently was at a conference where I saw a presentation that dealt with letting HIV go untreated. It was fascinating information about some details of the immune system, and I'll do a write up of it when I get a bit of time in the next few days. I'll make it a new thread.
  5. In Re: Bearbandit's reference to Larry Townsend...here's what he said in the slave's credo... #7. I recognize my duty to keep my body in a proper, healthy condition for my Master's use and pleasure. As for the Master... #1. I am a Master, and I accept the slave into my loving care and protection. #2. I will provide the physical and emotional necessities of life for my slave... #3. I will use my slave's body as I wish, such usage to be limited only by my responsibility not to damage either his physical or mental being. If the above doesn't describe your current relationship, do as Bearbandit says, and (when you have arranged a safe haven) get the hell away from him. IMHO, if he is as you describe, he's not a master, he's a control freak who preys on people. A real Master understands his limitations (in this case medical knowledge) and makes allowances. Your only responsibility is to yourself and your health. A relationship only works when it works for both people. Sorry, I've been around that life for long enough to know a good master from a bad one (and the ones who are play-acting). Being a Master is a lot of work--mental work--and many people just don't have it in them. Don't let his failings ruin your future.
  6. Hell yeah, I moan. Gives him good feedback.
  7. OraQuick has been used for years in professional settings. If you go to an STD clinic, that's what they'll probably use to test you (and not just STD clinics, either--lots of clinics, hospitals, doctors, etc., use OraQuick on a daily basis). It's super accurate, and if it gives any wrong reading (very rare), it will be a false positive rather than a false negative. It's just new on the over-the-counter market, which may be why you haven't heard of it.
  8. If it's true, then your doctor needs to be hauled up before the medical ethics board. She's risking her medical license. If it's true, she's an idiot who should not be trusted for medical advice. Not buying it. This belongs in the fiction section after a lot of proofing and editing.
  9. Don't buy sets. You'll never use most of the ones in the set anyway. And those double-ended "sounds" that are kind of a gentle S-shape (like the one in the pic at the top of this forum--usually a different size on each end and often seen in sets)? They aren't sounds; they are vaginal dilators, and they have no business in your dick. A man's anatomy is very different (duh!). You want either Van Buren or Walther sounds (or the silicone ones made by Square Peg Toys--they can be heat sterilized). Van Burens and Walthers are J-shaped, about 11 inches long, and have a handle so that you can't get into trouble. They are designed to follow the natural curve of the urethra as it goes up through the prostate. The S-shaped ones (Pratt, Hank, Hegar) can't do that, and when they get to the part where your urethra curves, they absolutely can't follow it. Waste of time. Not only can you bruise your urethra at that point, but you miss out on all the fun of sliding that thing into the prostate. Be very careful. Sterilize (not just sanitize). If you don't have an autoclave, use Hibiclens, and use sterile single-use packets of lube (Surgilube or sterile KY--not regular KY, it's not sterile). Yeah, there's some cost involved to do it right. But it's your dick and your plumbing, and it's worth it. And when you get a Van Buren or a Walther nestled in your prostate and feel like your cumming continually, you'll know it's worth it. Play safe. Have someone good and experienced lead you through it a few times. And getting fucked while you have a sound in you? Hot fantasy; horrible idea.

    hookup's

And if you live in the middle of nowhere (as it seems you do), it's not BBRT's or Craigslist's fault that you're not getting responses. It's a numbers game, and the more narrow or specific your focus or desire, the worse the odds become, especially in a tiny, isolated, rural community.
  11. When the Gaysleaze site was still operating, they had an advertiser who made T-shirts and caps with biohazard, poz, etc., themes. My favorite shirt had one word on the front... seedy I have no idea who the company was and can't find the source now, but I loved the perverted subtlety of that shirt.
  12. Thank you RawTop and HotLoad84. The story was lame and insulting and the writer was clearly a creep. Good riddance.
  13. The branding instruments don't have to be manufactured. The most common technique used for people is...multiple strike branding. Search for that term and you'll find links to more info. There are some excellent practitioners in the US and Canada (don't know about the rest of the world).
  14. Deaner: You apparently missed one crucial point: It violated the rules against under age sex. It was a story about a specifically-named person who was murdered at age 17. Hence, the story was about under age sex and a clear violation of this site's policies. Period.
  15. Trayvon Martin was 17 years old when he was killed. The age of consent in Florida is 18. Your story violated this site's policy about stories concerning under age characters. Besides that, the story was really weak. The use of his name was completely gratuitous, and seemed to be the only reason for the story to exist. "Tasteless" doesn't begin to fully describe using his name. I don't understand the motivation that would make someone write such a story using him as a character. Racism? Shock value? I'm with Tiger and Aznboytoy on this one. I was furious when I read that story.
  16. There's also a new gel on the market--Fortesta. Applied to the skin of the thigh. No idea how effective, but some insurance companies are dropping coverage for Androgel because of expense and subbing Fortesta or Axiron.
  17. I'm not sure what the concern is about tenofovir as PrEP. Besides the other problems mentioned about the study, it was conducted between 3 and 8 years ago--almost ancient history, given the rate of progress. Plus, I have never heard anyone advocating Tenofovir by itself for PrEP. The only drug anyone ever mentions is Truvada, which contains tenofovir in combination with emtricitabine. Such combos are common, and the 1-2 punch is always more effective. The side effects that Bearbandit mentions are still a concern, but Truvada is remarkably effective for PrEP.
  18. "CDC material is also listing different prevention rate for heterosexual and homosexual subjects. Must be one bigoted pill, lol. I wonder if it has anything to do with involved sex practices that result in infection." The risk of HIV transmission in receptive anal sex is 18 times higher than traditional sex. That probably accounts for the different prevention rate, all other things being equal.
  19. It's been two years. Think about it--what are the chances that you've tested neg multiple times but are really positive? Zero. The tests err on the side of false positives.
  20. H.D.K. has a video from a few years ago (Cocked and Loaded, I think) where some guys are playing and they slide a Devil's Dick up the guy in the sling. He keeps shooting it out and they catch it and shove it back in (they're slippery devils). Good way to lube up once in a while.
  21. Well, as long as it doesn't pop out (which they warn you might happen because it's very soft) and as long as it doesn't split it should be fine. The same can be said of a condom (which they warn you it is not a replacement for "While the Raw Dawg is made of thick material, please be warned that Perfect Fit does NOT warrant its use as a substitute for a condom."). If it pops out when the top is going full tilt (which they warn you not to do), and he plunges in bare, you're on your own. More importantly, though, it's not "raw fucking".
  22. Jim Ferro (especially with Marco Cruise--woof!), and Peter Axel & Greg York.
  23. Keep in mind that that diagram does not represent any real data. The blue line actually goes backwards in time--an impossibility. From a peak at 3 months, it goes back towards 2 months as it drops (sloping left). Do not trust that diagram to represent any real condition (including rates of increase or decrease); they really should redo that chart.
  24. Hep C is blood-borne, so cum or piss are okay in that regard. You're also safe with piss and HIV. HIV can only be transmitted by men via blood and semen. In all other fluids it is too low a concentration, if it is present at all. And while it may be theoretically possible to catch HIV through oral sex via cum, the incidence is very low. You would have to have a pathway in your own mouth for any virus to enter (bleeding gums, cuts, sores, etc.).
