  1. I'm puzzled by this one because I've never detected fresh Crisco to have any smell or taste at all. Store brand or off label sometimes does, but not to a significant degree. What does have a significant odor in my experience is aged shortening, especially if it has been exposed over time to light, air, and/or warmth. For that reason it is one of the products I'll buy in smaller containers (foregoing the substantial bulk discount).

  2. About 10 years ago I was living on some family property in the mountains in "the back of beyond" (verrrry rural, dirt roads, almost-but-not-quite off grid). One fine day in the middle of winter (about 6" of snow on the ground) I connected with a guy online who was hot to trot and actually drove out there and we met up on an access road in the state forest. We walked down it a little way and then a few feet sideways into the woods and went at it. He spit-fucked me against a tree. Sooooo hot! I'm not sure what kind of temperature it was (certainly not as cold as -20C, probably more like -5C) but it was enough to button up in a hurry when we were done.

  3. I don't think it has been, as the Regional forums are (mostly) for people who already reside in the region in question. Furthermore, this site is really not much of a hookup site (it's intended to be a discussion site and that is largely what it is).

You could post in General Discussion about your whole trip, which might make a fun topic.

Or you could post individual legs in the most relevant regional forum - Amsterdam has its own, Iceland could go in Scandinavia (yes, I know that's not precisely right) or in Europe & Russia, and Bahamas, well, yeah, that's tough. Probably UK or Europe/Russia, though a case could be made for Southeastern US.

Nooo!  😵‍💫. Please don’t!  😳. Not you, too.  Capitalizing every T in the entire post.

But he didn't. Not counting the T at the beginning of the sentence (which should be a capital), there are as many lower case t's there as there are capitals. Amazing how many T's there are in a two-line comment, eh?

Surely a story with a 'poz' element and a 'fetish' should be in both places, (and all nonmember access remove from the entire site, or a new subcategory covering both in the Backroom should be created.

If we created a new subcategory for every combination of fetishes, no one would be able to find anything at all. Nor post it in the appropriate area (they already have a lot of trouble with that, as we who have to fix it can attest!)

A better solution would use standardized tags to label the content, and then everyone could search for or block the categories to suit themselves. That would involve completely reengineering the entire site... which is being done, but it isn't @rawTOP's day job, and it takes time.

  6. @fdiscodude  The devil is in the details. Quoting from a few pages back in this topic (re. currently available age verification solutions, emphasis mine):

They exist, but they're cost prohibitive for sites like this one - which makes them unconstitutional.

Then there's the issue of the validator knowing too much about you which violates your privacy.

There is a double blind solution in the works, but it's not ready yet. Hopefully it won't be cost prohibitive.

  7. Diagnosing random rashes from one picture on the internet is not something even a medical professional can do reliably, let alone a web site full of people who aren't medical professionals.  See your medical provider.

Further to the suggestions others have made (STDs, etc) there are plenty of random and often benign explanations for this type of symptom, for example eczema, or allergic reaction to a laundry detergent.

People with this mutation have been determined to have an immunity to HIV and two HIV positive cancer patients who had bone marrow transplants with this mutation had their HIV cured...no trace of the virus.

The confusion here may be happening because humans each have two copies of the CCR5 gene.

People who have one copy with the delta-32 mutation (and one normal copy) are resistant to HIV, but can still acquire it. This is called "heterozygous" - that's what @PozBearWI is.

People who have both copies with the delta-32 mutation are immune to HIV (for practical purposes, though they might still be able to be infected using some kind of drastic biotech method).  This is called "homozygous".

I didn't do an extensive search, but at least one scientific publication explains that a patient cured of HIV after bone marrow transplant received the transplanted marrow from a homozygous (double delta 32) donor.

  9. Been there, done that - he was drunk, too - and afterward he asked me please not to tell his wife...  Then some time later contacted me when he was drunk to say he had been fantasizing about me fucking him.  So many guys who have been "straight" all their lives (50 years or more) and there in the back of their heads are things they never look at unless their inhibitions are inhibited. And then they do.

As long as everyone can be civilized afterwards, no harm done.

  10. Similar experience with Truvada when I was hospitalized recently. A doctor came in all concerned that they needed to make sure I was getting it, and I had to explain that it was prophylactic and there was no need, given that I wasn't going to be having sex in the hospital. Though one of the LPN's was mighty tempting...

Yes, they are used for treatment, along with other drugs (though not often, given the availability of combination pills).

Yeah, but my question is: how likely is it that the blood test is gonna detect something weird that could be related to me taking PrEP?

If you haven't been getting your kidney function checked regularly as part of the PrEP, then the blood test might detect an issue with kidney function caused by the PrEP. But that's the whole idea, innit? You really do want to keep your kidneys working, and if Truvada is messing with them, your PrEP provider needs to know that and switch drugs.

  12. I believe you are referring to the "harm to the community" policy provisions that were put in place in March 2021 by @rawTOP (the site owner).

You can read his explanation of them as well as a VERY long discussion about it, which includes the question of "...go[ing] one way or the other, and not try[ing] to be all things to all people..." here:

There is no rhyme or reason to this. I have asked numerous times and keep getting referred back to this post. I don’t think they even know hence why they keep directing us back to this post.

As I have stated a number of times (above in this topic): We (the moderation staff) DON'T know exactly how the advancement system works.

What we DO know is that:

    1. It is not time-based, but participation-based. If you create an account and never post anything, you will remain a "New Member" forever.
    2. The algorithm involves not just the number of posts you make, but the "quality" of those posts. I can't tell you more than that because the moderation staff are not privy to the details.
    3. It is not ridiculously difficult to attain the status of "Member". People have done it with 50 posts or so, in less than a year.
