MAL2016 -- just wanted to post random thoughts on this year's MAL -- first i only booked two days this year instead of arriving on Thursday which in past i always liked it was just relaxed and laid back and good for breeding with the open door for guys roaming around but couldn't do it -life gets in the way- and actually i'm happy i was only there Frid/Sat- first I had bad room location -room 304 - stuck in the corner -just out of the way from the stairwell so guys really didn't come looking down that little dead end so i missed a lot of dick that way- i'll remember to ask for a better room location next year. So, i was lucky i took 27 loads in two days that definitely is half of my past adventures .... too much waiting in between loads -it was exhausting and boring just waiting and lord knows I posted on the usual spots and even made business cards with room# but bad location and also having a notorious porn star on 7th floor didn't help since that seemed the main event for guys roaming so what chance do you have against that and his cute little butt didn't stop ..... alot of competition this year -more than i've seen in past and I just grateful for the guys that stopped by-some regulars from past years -which was great - and nice to run into the same guys over n over. Of course I had some pretty high screeching neighbors who were throwing shade everytime passin my open door -so that didn't help. At least i had no gays with faghags coming in and laughing and giggling-but i did have one bad incident with a young man -high as kite- and just lost in his own head--i had to talk him down and throw /escort him out- just was lost and lucky i was nice to give him is iphone he just left on my desk- that would have paid for my room! Young men should approach with steady head and not get high and then complain no one wants me - when I first came to MAL back in 2007 to the original hotel at the Washington hotel (name not quite right-on Thomas Circle) I was scared out of my mind but just kind of kept my head up and eyes and ears open n kinda let it come to me not chase it... At that time getting loaded wasn't a "thing" it was still dangerous and not many guys doing it - MAL was where i heard i could travel back in time to the sexy sleazy days and boy did I-- that hotel was smaller easier to navigate and leaving the door open was fun and thrilling -- i know the fair had to expand too much left over by not doing so but some of that old school magic disappeared. Even the big party in room 888 - well there was a line down the hallway -waited for like 20/30 min to get in and definitely god bless them for putting it together but I wish they had some rules- no women , no iphones and no gawking -either cum to play or get the fuck out-- so many guys were on iphone looking down instead of looking up -sad- leave that shit in your room and play. So, the play was only in few corners and mostly guys gawking-- the bartender was so sweet - i hope more guys tipped them. I guess thats what you get for "free" maybe they should cover charge next time- amateurs stay home.... I have had fun at this hotel in past but definitely getting the right room so you can have a bit more traffic is key if you're going to host pump n dumps in your room. The rooms aren't perfect some setup awkward in bed placement -height etc but you do what you can do.... I did miss the CODE parties but figured it was pretty far away and i wasn't sure if it was worth the money but probably I feel i may have had a better time leaving the hotel for a few hours at night. The 10th Floor was popular with the Wall of Windows looking at all the action in the Courtyard rooms-- some interesting stuff but i could see porn on my computer so it was cute but i wish there was more going on too many men just popping in and not dropping trousers... I'm glad i only paid for two nights - just too much money not to have that anticipation of more action around but i'm glad i went i just wish it was more popping like in old days- even the afternoons were better -this time not so much most ly guys in lobby drinking n shopping-- and lots not talk about the elevators -the hotel would be better served if the stairs went to lobby -n take some strain off the elevators.....

It was a lousy year only took 115 loads in hole not great...but i'm not 30 anymore either -life gets in the way....

Things were a bit slow in October only took 9 loads- and I tried but the bathhouses here in nyc are so pathetic not much action and wasn't a whole lot happening in the clubs either so just was a bit out of whack. YTD total in hole is now at 263. I expect to slow down moreso as cold is coming but maybe a trip to FTL or Los Angeles should be in works. Happy Oct. Load Count in hole 256 for year. Sept was slow -3 loads but due to work travel so wasn't in area to take loads anywhere. - Oct off to good start 3 loads - and its birthday month- hard to believe almost 50 and still going strong - wish I could jump on plane this week and hit Slammers in LA or FTL. Well, back home from Southern Decadence- whew I'm beat and I need a good full day of Sleep. The old standby backrooms at Rawhide and Phoenix were quite fun. Rawhide -thank goodness I decided to do early afternoon because once 4 pm hits-the crowd really changes 1. Its a backroom- lord i didn't want to hear guys history -how many degrees they have - what do you do for a living? Its a back room - have sex! talk about killing mood 4. Word to first timers- the night sessions at Rawhide are intense and crowded with guys just giggling and walking around or more squeezing thru the crowd around the pool table- its not for the claustrophobic -its insane I thought it would be hot to go at night on Friday and realized no sex would happen it was just too much. 5. AFternoon better -a little relaxed and guys come to play and get off. Its not this round robin that it is at night. Phoenix- my fave place- so much better at night- the little backroom upstairs - suffers from lack of air- its freaking humid and hot and no breeze - you really have to keep hydrated-not to pass out--unfortunately they put up these half walls that were mentioned above kinda trying to make a maze but was tough- not easy to get fucked and hold on to these walls. and keep your feet from slipping. the Crowd is always great and up for anything so its always worth visiting and the staff are just the nicest guys in all of NOLA. I'm lucky i've gone to Decadence since 1999 and saw Phoenix when they had the back bench against the back wall- you could just bend over stare into the black abyss and have your ass pummeled all night long- those were the days. I wish they would bring it back -it makes it so difficult for standup fucks. but my old regulars over the years recognized me and did me a solid and dumped a few loads. My rep still holds after all these years. I wish i had gotten to meet a few more guys that contacted me but strange schedules and i posted where i was for most part on scurff, manhunt and bbrt but i think that was only useful for a small % mostly it was spur of the moment being in the bars. Happy friday, cant believe summer is almost over. July total loads in hole. 45 and 1 swallow... Basically all came at my rainy getaway to Provincetown for Bearweek.
