That's a rough story. I accidentally went to the wrong house one time. It's the business model of the business that take over the apps to blame. Get a bunch of users, to gain majority use over other apps. Then muck about with what features of the app are free or paid to extract maximum money. -

I heard a possible explanation of why popular apps are trash now: A guy I met cursing at the park who explained it: He said that since he turned 40, he has been filtered out of the apps. He said, he thinks that the popular apps in our city have too many filters, age, height, weight etc., so he gets filtered out by age, he can see other users, but they don't see, or reply to him because he aged out of the 30s.
