So planning to be visiting SF soon and my partner requires a wheelchair (his legs are paralyzed, fortunately starting just below the fun parts). I was wondering if those familiar with the bay area public sex venues might be willing to provide some insight if any of them might be wheelchair accessible. Wouldn't need to be 100% for all areas but bulk of areas, rooms or play area, locker room, bathroom etc. Thank you. -

Last October my primary care physician that was overseeing my prep quit (think she moved out of the area). My previous pcp wasn't willing to supervise prep so referred me out to an infectious disease specialist (I had no luck finding one that was taking new patients hence why I found a new pcp instead). So rather than interview multiple new doctors, I'm trying out mistr. So far it's been relatively easy. Sending off my completed at home testing kit today. Had my online visit with a doctor yesterday. So far pretty easy, which I like.

Insurance company is only required to pay for the minimum lab work required for the PreP protocols. It sounds like your doctor might be ordering additional tests above and beyond the guidelines. I ran into this issue with one of my tests, doctor was orderong a more extensive (ie expensive) version of a test and the insurance company was balking at paying for it. Also there could be an issue of what diagnosis and code the doctor is using, since that PreP is only approved for high risk individuals and there is some specific code for that for insurance purposes.

I'm planning to stay in Reno when I retire. I really enjoy living here and I plan to ski until I die so I am not interested in moving to a place that doesn't have winter. I really enjoy four distinct seasons and the activities that come with that from the winter snow sports to rafting down the Truckee river and enjoying Lake Tahoe in the summer. Political climate is good, fairly purple state with enough of the Republicans being libertarian that the Initiative to legalize same sex marriage passed with over 60% support in 2020. Plus no state income tax and property taxes are reasonable (thank you to all the gamblers for paying my taxes for me). Close enough to SF and the bay area that it's easy to drive in for a weekend getaway and LV and LA are less than two hour flights away. Of course my opinion is based by the skiing factor and a west coast biases. I hate absolutely hate hot and humid weather.

Been to bathhouses twice in the last year, once in Las Vegas and once in Reno. LV had a larger crowd and was a decent experience. Reno's was empty. Used to go to 'sex clubs' in SF when I lived there pre COVID and had a lot of fun. Travel for work is starting back up again so maybe I'll get to visit a few more.

A very good day for us gays politically. The law does what it can under our federal system (marriage has always been primarily controlled by the states). Achieving this through the legislative process shows the gains we are making.

From my experience if it's just bareback then it goes in that section, if it's chasing it goes there, and if it's got drug use it goes into the chem sex section. I've seen 18+ incest in all of them I believe.

Planned. I had been with my boyfriend for almost a year and we had been monogamous by default without any discussion. We both went in and got tested. Ditched the condoms after that but agreed that we would play safe if we fucked outside the relationship. That last until PrEP became available and have only used a condom once in the last few years.

I've only used a condom once in the last three years. Was with a 19 y/o the first time. Been fucking him ever since, he's 21 now. Only had to use a condom the first time.

I don't ask, but I make it pretty obvious when I'm close to coming, even saying things along the line of "I'm about to cum". If they want me to pull out, that's their chance to let me know, otherwise I'm breeding them. Often though there has been a lot of dirty talk about me breeding him before that point.

Scabies, although not sure if I got it from sex or just from bedding while traveling around Europe and staying in hostels. After that it would be clamydia, then gonearea. Also had a few general UTI's from topping bare.

I was able to get mine in Reno NV on 8/31 at a county health department run vacc clinic at the local LGBT center. As part of it they scheduled us for the second shot on 10/5. They were also having a second clinic in mid September at a gay bar downtown. Was nice to see them finally doing outreach to the gay community after a few months of not having it available.

My sex drive temporarily increased after I started PrEP many years ago. It was freeing to not have to worry about condoms and fucking bare almost all the time made me realize how much ai had actually hated condoms. Also I no longer had any guilt when I fucked bare, which was the freeing part I think. But the initial rush faded and other factors took over for my sex drive ,(self image, depression, stress, etc). I did stop PrEP for a time during COVID and did not notice any change to sex drive after stopping nor after I resumed once lock downs ended.

I'd recommend going on PrEP if you want to continue fucking bare and want to greatly reduce your odds of getting HIV. Also as part of being in PrEP you get regular tests for the other STD's. I do agree that bare is the way to go when fucking.
