discreetmpls
Last July, I topped two different cum sluts bb. Both had multiple loads in them when I fucked them. About two weeks later, I felt like I had an std (itching, discomfort, etc.). I tested negative for everything but had a swollen prostate. My doctor believed I may have contracted bacterial prostatitis from the unprotected sex. Apparently bacteria that are healthy in the anus can go up the urethra and start growing in your bladder or prostate, where they don't belong. I went on several rounds of anti-biotics and ultimately never had any resolution. I now have chronic prostatitis that has affected my sex life significantly due to discomfort with erections and ejaculation. I've been to a specialist, and they say there isn't much I can do except manage symptoms. I'm now taking Flomax (tamsulosin) for about four months so far, to keep my prostate from being permanently damaged, which has its own set of side effects, and I do physical therapy daily. Unfortunately, nothing has changed much. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar, or am I just incredibly unlucky. Does anyone have suggestions for alternative treatments that work?
tallslenderguy
Wow, sorry to hear that. It sounds like your healthcare provider treated you presumptively by giving you antibiotics, even though you tested negative for an infection. Prostatitis can also be caused by a virus, in which case antibiotics would not help. The other symptoms you mention (i.e., "itching") usually go along with an infection because the pathogen not only infects the prostate, it infects the urethra. Do you still have the itching, or did some of the symptoms resolve and others not? If you had itching and/or urethral burning, it sounds like you may have had an infection. Infections can cause chronic prostatitis. Flomax is often given for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is a common occurrence in men, usually as they age. It's possible that you have BPH and because you are sexually active you may have associated the two (i.e., prostate pain and std)? I don't know, just speculating, but you never were actually diagnosed with an std? But BPH wouldn't cause urethral itching. An intervention for enlarged prostate that has been around for a long time is prostate massage. Though it has no evidence as a cure, it is at least fun if you have any bottom tendencies. Seriously, though, it might not "cure" you but it could provide temporary relief for you so that you can function better sexually. Kind of like massaging or stretching a muscle before workout. This link has some other ideas. Good luck. https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000524.htm Edited March 24, 2016 by tallslenderguy
hungry_hole
... This is one of the issues that keeps me from wanting to top. As a bottom my hole has been resilient and after more than 1,000 loads never caught anything of significance. The couple of times topping I remember some sort of urinary infection or discomfort.

Ditto to that. It seems I cannot get a bj without getting chlamydia or gonorrhea, I went for years... decades really, without getting a bj for that reason. almost never top either... butt that's mostly because I am bottom wired. atlfukbud
Sorry about this -- awful. I have a btm buddy that has had this a couple of times, but it clears up -- I've even barebacked him during a flair-up and I didn't get infected. Good luck! cumfillme
Have been dealing with prostatitis for a few years now (am a bottom but believe I got it from an old GF. While a course of antibiotics did take care of the flare up (spasms feeling like I was being kicked in the groin every 5 minutes), the flare up came back in a few months. Saw another Dr who suggested L-Argenine (1000MG) 3X day plus Saw Palmetto 3x day and Zinc 3x day. Cleared it up in 3 days (but continue for 2 weeks anyways) and I don't have to worry about overuse of antibiotics.
Ocelot2000
I had chronic prostatitis in my 20s. The doctors in the US wanted to put me on a long course of antibiotics as it's hard for the antibiotics to reach the prostate however my GP in London said I could do that, or ultimately not go on any antibiotics and let the symptoms go by themselves which will take a couple of years and that's what I opted to do. He also said with he antibiotics it would be courses that last months and those could be dangerous in other ways. Anyway, I am sorry you had to deal with this. Oh I also took tons of herbs, eastern medicine and certain things like saw palmetto etc which are good for the prostate. It fucking sucked for those few years though. There were days where I was walking around like I had a broomstick shoved up me because I was in so much pain. I hope it doesn't last much longer for you! Rookie69
It may very well be that you have an infection, but there really is no evidence that chronic prostatitis is caused by a viral or bacteria infection. Some doctors are now even calling it chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) instead of chronic prostatitis, because they believe it is not caused by an infection. I had prostatitis/CPPS for about 1.5 years straight when I was in my 20's. Several doctors insisted that it was an infection even though I wasn't even sexually active at that time. I was on hard core antibiotics for about 6 months until I started getting serious side effects, and they did nothing to help. After a lot of research I found that there is a large number of men who suffer from this with no medical explanation. It turns out many people suffer these symptoms because of a muscle tension disorder that causes the pelvis muscles to tighten and spasm, which can cause all sorts of painful symptoms in the pelvic region including urethritis, swollen epididymis, testicular pain, among other symptoms. I read a book call A Headache In The Pelvis http://www.biblio.com/book/headache-pelvis-new-understanding-treatment-prostatitis/d/883297827?aid=frg&utm_source=google&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=feed-details&gclid=CPXB0ebc784CFQYdaQod0AMDDQ Which shed a lot of light on the subject. many times CPPS is actually caused by stress and anxiety which can lead to pelvis spasms. The way I got it under control was through breathing exercises, stretching, and physical therapy. They also suggest something called prostate trigger release massage, but I didn't do that. It took me about 3 or four months to get it under control. Then I had flare ups for another couple years. Now I have no symptoms. Occasionally a little tightness which I can recognize now as early symptoms and get it under control quick. I'd suggest checking out that book I linked if your prescribed medications aren't helping. I haven't had problems for years, but was recently talking to an endocrinologist, and this topic came up. She suggested that it could have been hormonal too, because hormone changes in men can lead to similar symptoms. Good luck.
justabitnastycub
When I first discovered these issues in myself, my doctor gave me answers out of a bad porno. Since then I have discovered I have a type of arthtrius and the Anti-tf (anti inflammatory) meds such as Humira and Remciad make the problem go away
