Prep Clinic Hopping

Anyone here get Prep through clinic hopping? its becoming popular as the only way to get Prep on the UK on the NHS. It is where you go to a clinic and say you need PEP after a high risk fuck and get 1 month's supply of truvada (and another drug which you disregard as you don't really need the combination which = pep). People do it across a few different clinics to build up a few month's supply of truvada to take as prep. it means wasting the other drug but it's the only legit way of getting hold of truvada on the NHS here.

if anyone does this, do they always make you come back after 1 week for a re-test for hiv before issuing the remaining 3 week's supply of truvada?

Just to let you know, it is possible to buy prep reliably off the internet now, you can get a months supply for just over £50.

Also you can take it only when you need to in order to make your supply last longer. There was a French Prep study where participants were asked to take two tablets of truvada the day before they fuck and then 1/day a couple days afterwards. This was found to be an effective way to prevent HIV transmission.

Except when the hiv and other std's mutate and develop a resistance to Prep (and the other drugs) and it stops working. You may as well just give it up and live with HIV, save yourself the bother of clinic hoping and have to go through all that trouble.
