Tops - Would you use an available strap-on if you couldn't get hard?

With the consent of @hotcoldgayslut I'm asking this as a variation of a more specific question he asked in the Backroom, because I think it's a very interesting question and could apply to all kinds of situations in which a Top, for whatever reason, might not be able to get an erection when desired.

Tops, if you had an opportunity to fuck a bottom, but couldn't get it up, and a strap-on was at hand, would you use it? I can imagine reasons why Tops both would and would not consider it, and I'd like to hear your thoughts. The "What would be the point if there's no load" argument is sort of obvious, but aside from that, what say you?

(I'm asking, by the way, because a gal with a strap-on once pegged the holy fucking hell out of me as thoroughly as any Top ever has...)

It is an interesting question.

Like some others I wouldn't be keen on it, although my reasons may be a little different. My cunt quite sensitive to different textures and "feel" of what ever is rammed up it. Cock feels very different to everything else such as toys and especially fingers.

I like a good cunt stretching toy session, but it needs different lube (one with more "body" than one for fucking( and a different "style".
