I'm still testing it out - I'm not sure I've got it tweaked quite right, but you guys can now chat with each other - both text chat and video chat. Text chat is unlimited, but video chat is limited 'cause it can burn a lot of bandwidth. Let me explain... The video chat / cam feature here is not "chat roulette" (e.g. TIM's "Fuck Roulette"). It is not peer-to-peer. Peer-to-peer is inexpensive to run because it burns very little bandwidth for the site owner because the video streams go user -> user rather than user -> server -> user(s). BUT, with peer-to-peer you can only chat with one person at a time. What I've implemented is a proper video chat / cam site where groups of people can all chat/cam with each other simultaneously. Unlike the roulette systems - it can be a group experience. Why is that important? Well, it means when you're having a hot buddy over to fuck you can turn on your webcam and let EVERYONE here see it. You can also set up a private chat room and let just a few friends see. [Just for full disclosure, Admins can see in private chat rooms - we need to be able to know what's happening to avoid things like child porn being conducted on the server.] Of course, it's not just sex that can be broadcast - you can just show your face, or your torso, or you can jack off, etc... The point is things like Fuck Roulette are the equivalent of the private room for two in a bathhouse. What you've got here is the equivalent of the public orgy areas - you can see and be seen by a lot of guys. In other words, this is more like Cam4 than Fuck Roulette. For now video chat is free but limited to 45 minutes per day. As more people use it I'll reduce the number of free minutes to 15 or 20 minutes per day. Hopefully soon I'll have a paid upgrade in place - an inexpensive paid upgrade for an hour or two a day, and a slightly higher price for unlimited usage. Having paid upgrades is necessary to pay for the bandwidth this is going to use. Text chat will always be free and unlimited, and there will always be at least 15 minutes of free video chat. Give it a try and let me know what you think of it. There are a lot of settings I can tweak, so if you want anything to be better or different let me know by responding to this thread and I'll try to make it happen. BTW, I'll be watching for major exhibitionists who repeatedly put on a good show and are fun to watch. If I notice you, you'll get more minutes and a free membership when I start charging. Also, I'll comp reasonably well known porn stars who like to cam...

I've limited time on video chat until I've worked out my bandwidth allotment with my host. For now consider it to be a beta test just to make sure things work... I'll let people do more video time once I get bandwidth issues worked out. However, text chat is unlimited...

As an incentive to get more of you to use it I'm upping the amount of free video chat to 45 minutes. This is just a limited time offer to encourage people to use it. If it becomes a problem (using too much bandwidth), I'll lower that number. Also, I wanted to remind people that you can do private chat rooms. You can create a new room and when you do specify a password and then give the password to whoever you want in the room.

When I ask it to connect it says "Connecting..." and the little cock spins, but nothing happens. Firefox 3.6 (up to date, all patches) on Windows Vista (up to date, all patches). Just thought you should know.

When I restart the streaming server, everything is OK. I'm not sure how to monitor it to know when it goes down. It's a bit frustrating...

There's lots of software stuff "out there" that could make this happen (work every time) but it's that same ol crap again ... MONEY. That is, LACK of money. How about everyone "donating" to the "cause" - WCFF (Web Cam Fuck Fund)? If you get it going, we (my website buddies and me) will give you a fuck .... I mean ... buck or two to get started! Mario
