X Tube/PornHub Dying?

In a world with OnlyFans and JustFans, where guys actually show their face, do you think X-Tube is on its way out? I mean their will always be free porn, but why “buy” a video for $10 to see half a guy with no face when you can pay $5-$10 for a month subscription to you favorite guy (Seattle Dad’s account is really all I need, but I digress)  Plus the free vids on xtube and PornHub seem to be dwindling by the week. I know most people like to pretend “they’ll never pay for porn/sex,”  but the reality is a lot of people do in one way or another.

I'm curious, what is it about Seattle Dad's presence that you connect to?

i think porn industry is going to be paid soon... thats good because nowadays, more guys are going to sex clubs and saunas to have real sex. Lately porn doesnt turn me on anymore... i prefer going to sex club and LIVE the experience, its addicting

Yeah, sex clubs and saunas are great, but not everyone has easy access to those.  What bothers me about xtube/pornhub these days is the sheer amount of "professional" porn available.  When I first joined xtube over 10 years ago (yes, I know...) it was overwhelmingly amateur and easy to find hot vids of guys having real sex.  Nowdays, most regular amateur posters will charge, and the proper studios have got hot to the fact that they can advertise and sell individual scenes via these outlets.  It's rare to find a good free vid of real amateur sex these days.

Does that translate to "People don't want to give me free stuff any more, now that they realize they can charge for it"?

Not necessarily.  I find if guys know they are being filmed that they "play to the camera" a bit too much, and it loses it's "realness".  Has nothing to do with cost for me - if a scene is truly good enough to pay for, I'll happily do it.

Do you honestly think guys who film amateur scenes don't "know they are being filmed" - especially since so many seem to involve a cell phone being held by the top pointed down at his cock going in and out of the bottom? Absent a blindfold (or a blind bottom) it would take a pretty slow-witted person not to get the idea.

Ditto with the ones that seem to be a phone or laptop pointed at the bed. Eighty percent of the videos seem to start with the guy adjusting the angle of the device while the other party watches and waits.

I’d like to see more real people with very little experience, with interviews capturing their nervousness, then get fucked by real experienced men, and do dirty stuff they’ve never done before captured on video.9E872E2F-BA3F-4C67-B745-FD3DB9C5CEB3.jpeg.2ae58fd166ad46ea282b97cc66f74358.jpeg

I'm old school and still have box loads of porn tapes and dvds. I even have a vcr new in a box and late model VHS/DVD player.

I always have this little fear tucked in the back of my head where one day porn is going to be banned from the internet. At least I'll have 100's of porn scenes to continue watching.

I think that once the filming of people having sex went from an expression of being slutty, having fun, filming something naughty - and started to transition into a way for a lot of people to support themselves financially, or for porn stars to have some control over their content and not be treated like shit by studios - it really changed the way tube sites function. OnlyFans only compounded this.

A lot of the same people end up working with eachother on OnlyFans, etc, filming the same sort of videos and I just don't think it's really the same as it was before people could make a living off of it.

I get why tube sites and the people who perform on them monetized - but the videos you see now are basically no different than any mainstream studio at this point.

There seems to be a trend toward monetisation of everything. I'm seeing more and more on instagram in the fetish community lads asking for specific items of gear to be bought for them so they can post pictures of themselves in it - a teaser since they save the juicier stuff for OnlyFans...

Then there's the "cash master" phenomenon - this seems to be dying out a bit lately, but you do still see guys advertising on social media and some hookup sites that you need to buy them something from their Amazon wish-list or add to their PayPal before they'll answer your messages.

Skirting carefully around the edge of what's allowed... Maybe pay for play is  what comes next: I've had a guy online saying that sorry, you're not my type, but if you get me these £170 sneakers they'll meet for a date.  He got blocked. There are other similar examples.

Businesses have realised that subscription models are the most lucrative rather than single transactions. Extrapolate that: Will we be paying for "friends" or to follow influencers? (we likely do now through advertising)

I wonder where we'll end up?

If there is a reduction in videos on those sites, it is probably more due to the pandemic and less activity going on.  I wouldn't pay for an onlyfans model. I would get bored seeing the same guy over and over again.  Also I am more interested in amateur porn, where guys are fucking cause they enjoy it; not because they want to make cash.  Some commercial porn is great, and it turns me on...but not all of it. Fucking is about desire, attraction, the need to breed and be bred, not a forced act for money.
