Back when I was still somewhat in denial, it was TIM that made me realize I was fooling myself. I seen regular guys, all types, letting their inner pig out in “real,” attainable situations. It’s almost like I was a fly on the wall. What they were doing, I felt like I could do (and have done). Guys like Dawson and Fyrfli were the typical “model” type, but were hot just by their pure filth. I feel in the last year or two, the whole vibe has changed. Most of the guys have the same muscle model look, guys are fucking and pulling out (some not cumming at all) and it just has an overall generic feel to it. When it’s not the muscle guys, it’s two identical twinks deciding who is going to top. I mean I love Ray Dalton, but he’s a pig. Even the dialog damn near sounds like a straight porn with a bunch of moaning. Where is the guy that looks like my neighbor, mechanic or hot college professor? Where’s the hot dialog? I’d say that maybe 1 or 2 out of every 10 scenes “does it” for me. I’ve truly come to appreciate some of their older films. More debaucherous, edgy, and most importantly a scene that I could picture myself in! 2 1

It's been going on a lot longer than a year, but my impression is that they stuck to a formula, and formulas tend to result in the same thing over and over. Close2MyBro Posted January 30, 2021 Report Posted January 30, 2021 I have to agree that Treasure Island has gone downhill. It used to be my primary source for porn and I own quite a few movies. But over the last few years they've gone for quantity instead of quality. It's obvious they only want to try to push as many titles as they can to try to make a buck and the work has suffered. A lot of the scenes drag on way too long, usually with some drugged-up messes, one out of it bottom and a zombie eyed top with a cock rink that could strangle an elephant. The whole scene ends up being a a chopped up, re-glued mess of clips that nowhere resembles what you'd expect to see in real life. I think a lot of the regular guys we used to see won't work for same low pay they're paying the drugged up messes and that's why we don't see them anymore. A lot of the regulars are just working to support a drug habit so they'll take whatever they can get. It's really sad, Treasure Island used to be my all time favorite studio and had the best, most relatable porn and made hard every time. Now I don't even bother waste my time visiting their website and I haven't bought a title or scene from them in over three years. 2 1

That said, most of their recent work lacks such passion for me to jerk on, it's plain just like most other studios. I would like to have them back to piggy scenes. Also I miss Lian Cole's work. His work is the best. Sad to see that he hasn't produced work for years.
