However, if anyone is looking for an alternative, the Residence Inn directly across Thomas Circle from the Washington Plaza also has no key-card elevator access. Good to know, I might be extending my stay and booking a room there next week.
mal2022perv Posted January 20, 2022 Report Posted January 20, 2022 WP now requires a keycard for the elevators.

Hornybt91 Posted March 13, 2022 Report Posted March 13, 2022 I will be visiting for a week next month, what hotel would people recommend now that WP requires cards for elevators? Also anyone wanting to fuck or get blown by a cute british guy message me ;)
BBtmslutsg Posted March 22, 2022 Report Posted March 22, 2022 What’s the alternate to Washington plaza ? downtown or elsewhere with no key access?

Nowadays, seems like no hotel/motel room is a good value. You can try the Quality Inn on NY Avenue in NE DC which is like two blocks from Glorious Health Club. Used to be able to get a room for $70/night. Now I’ve seen them going for upwards of $300/night some nights which is CRAZY for that rundown property. Across NY Ave from Quality Inn is the Ivy City Motel, but recently there’s been stories of police targeting this property especially looking for drug use. Be cautious and smart, and as always, YMMV. Good luck and have fun! P.S. to the member who asked about the Motel 6 convention center, if that’s the one by Union market in NE DC, it looks really really rough, same goes for Red Carpet Inn on NY Ave NE (formerly a HOJO, I think). Haven’t been to either and not sure I’d be willing to try (they’re that rough looking) and I’ve stayed/played at some D-U-M-P-S!! 1

fuckholedc Posted December 10, 2023 Report Posted December 10, 2023 The standard go-to is the Washington Hilton at 1919 Connecticut Avenue. *BUT* when I went there almost a year ago they put me on the 10th floor which does require key card access. As a result it was only 1-1 action for me. I asked a person who used to host cumdump sessions there all the time and he said that you can select a room using the Hilton hotels app and thus guarantee that you get a room on a lower floor where a key card is not required.
Hornedpigdc Posted September 21 Report Posted September 21 I would be very careful if you decide to stay at the Ivy City Hotel per the News article pasted below: DC hotel agrees to increase security after killings of 2 women, other violent incidents [think before following links] https://wtop.com/local/2024/09/ivy-city-hotel-increases-security-after-2-women-were-killed-there/ Cheyenne Corin | cheyenne.corin@wtop.com September 20, 2024, 3:08 PM The Ivy City Hotel on New York Avenue in Northeast D.C. has agreed to boost security after several violent incidents. The D.C. attorney general’s office says from February 2023 to February 2024, two women were killed at the hotel. In addition, there were three drug-related deaths, multiple gun incidents and multiple drug recoveries. “This was an enforcement action under our nuisance act,” Assistant Deputy Attorney General Beth Mellen said. “That’s an act we use where we have properties that are being used to facilitate drug and firearm crimes or prostitution.” Under the act, the attorney general’s office has authority to take legal action against property owners and managers if they find there is a pattern of illegal drug-, firearm-, or prostitution-related activities on their properties and if the owner then fails to implement appropriate security measures to prevent further criminal activity. Under the terms of the settlement, the owners of the Ivy City Hotel will be required to: Increase security staffing during overnight hours. Link security cameras to the D.C. police department’s Real Time Crime Center. The hotel must register its cameras with the District’s Camera Connect Program, which shares the security footage with the crime center. Maintain existing lighting, cameras and security staffing levels and allow the attorney general’s office to inspect the property through August 2025. “We are always hopeful that when we get things like the cameras and lighting and we see that maintained and necessary private security coverage, that will result in fewer incidents,” said Mellen. “We’re really trying to take use all the tools we have as the District of Columbia and with our office to address the public safety concerns that we know are on so many residents’ minds.” The attorney general’s office will also inspect the hotel through August 2025. 1
Gooflame Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 Yeah Ivy City is bullseye for prostitutes and homeless. Cops end up there pretty much every night. They have one poor security guard working the night shift. It’s too sketchy. If you something cheap the motel 6 and I think red carpet inn? On NY Ave as well are safer options.
