As one ages parts of the body don't work as well and I've noticed this with my digestion, with consequences for the hole cleaning process.

Up to my late 50's my hole was ready to take cock in less than 30 minutes. Guys would contact me because they wanted to stop by for a good bareback sex and I had no problems. But now, in my late 60's I'm noticing that it takes me much longer to clean my hole and sometimes considerably longer. I know other bottoms have problems cleaning up, and some even decided to start topping instead to avoid the hassle.

Anybody else has noticed changes in how your system reacts to douching as you age? Well, there are also now more prescriptions that I take which could also be affecting my digestive system. Anyone with similar issues?

Given how Metamucil and other fiber supplements are marketed to "people of a certain age", I am certain you're not alone. In fact, if you're not already on some sort of fiber supplement, you might consider that, as it tends to aid in cleaning the system out. You might also look at whether your diet has changed over the years - I know that as I approach 60, I'm not eating as well as I did when I was 30 or 40, and that's on my list of things to work on this year.

As I've gotten older, I've noticed 4 types of changes that have effected how I approach cleaning out. (There are probably more, but these are the ones I think are the most relevant.)

First is diet. What goes in effects what comes out. What goes in includes food, drink, and medications. As we age, our preferences for different foods change and use of supplements and medications usually increase. But even if what we consumed stayed the same, we'd still have to deal with the second factor which is changing metabolism. As we age, our metabolism tend to slow and how we process or tolerate foods begin to change. In addition to changing metabolism, there is the third factor -- changes in muscle tone. For bottoms engaging in anal sex, loss of tone or control of the inner sphincter means that you need to clean out more of the colon since the sphincter can no longer do it's job as efficiently. And finally, I think there is a change in lifestyle activities and a change in perception of what "clean" actually means. When I was younger, I cleaned out of a particular hook up and not an attempt to be clean for an extended period of time at a bathhouse, for example. At that time I was just trying to be Clean Enough for Right Now, and not really concerned with being squeaky clean on the inside for hours long sessions. I also think the pandemic changed some habits and increased awareness of sanitary practices.  Put all those things together, and I find I spend more time trying to do a more thorough job than I did when I was younger.

I love this thread.  Until recently I could clean myself out pretty easily.  But in the past 3 years I have begun to have problems.  I'd think I was clean but then would have an "incident" while being fingered or dildo fucked.  I was so embarrassed it ruined everything.  This has happened twice.  I experimented with shower hours and most recently just with repeated bulb cleaning with water, like 5 or 6 times, until it seemed I was clear.  But I have much anxiety to a point where it's all such a hassle to get topped.  Im 74 years old, and things were good until 8 was in my late 60s.  I still love giving oral but if course always want to get fucked.

Damn when I think back on all the times I’ve had to contend with a messy situation … I’ve had so much huge dick and honestly nobody ever discussed this with me when I was younger so I had to figure it out for myself after a messy situation happened and I was mortified.

I usually fast or do liquids only the day of and sometimes the day before. It does require me to plan my adventures in advance but I pretty much have to do that anyway so it’s not a problem for me, although there have been times when I had to pass because I was unsure 🙂

I’m drinking more water now and I allow for more time to clean out so I can do one douche and then use a toy with Vaseline to stretch and prepare my hole for the pounding I live for. Then about 30 minutes later I douche again to make sure I’m good.

I’ve developed UC which certainly doesn’t help (im sure that getting my hole destroyed regularly for the past 40 years has something to do with that lol) but honestly my biggest  issue of late has been spotting more than anything. Usually not bad but there’ve been a few crime scenes as I’ve gotten older and nobody wants that. I’ve found it takes more time and effort to get completely cleaned out but for me, using Vaseline or boy butter and stretching before the session has done wonders for both issues.

 I think it helps that I don’t eat much meat or drink alcohol anymore too. There’s nothing like knowing that you’re totally spotless before you submit your hole for destruction, so that’s the route I’ve found works best for me. Been thinking about trying a high colonic as well but idk - anyone have experience with that?

Yep, but make sure you don't eat leafy greens as well, as they produce gas bubbles, which interferes with the process. Also, if you include psyllium husks as part of your diet, you'll need to increase your water intake, as they dehydrate you majorly.

Make sure you get a closed colonic. That's where you have someone helping you with it, rather than an open one, where you're left to work the machine yourself. Thanks for the insight. I am 44 and 50 is coming up soon. I currently have a 20 min rule. If I am not clean in 20 it’s not happening. No issues so far. I have always been big on Fiber and my diet to keep regular.

Cleaning in proportion to expected play helps me too.  I can do a quick rectum flush.  Deeper when I expect extended play sessions and combined with dietary changes leading up to that extended play.  

It used to be that Mr S Leather sold a shower shot tip, about 16" long, closed end with a side water discharge.  I am on my second one and as I don't see it on the market, I will guard this one.  But that it doesn't squirt directly in, but has a side discharge let's me clean out before the "second ring" which works well for a hookup.  Past that inner ring tends to start an elimination process that just has to finish to be clean.  If your short on time for a quick hookup, stop before you get there; take an Imodium to slow down gut activity and things tend to go well.

Metabolism slowing down - the counter to that is increasing exercise.  In general increasing cardio and adding in sprint activity (sprints of various kinds so this can be done on Stairsteppers as well, you can add in kettlebell workouts but the point is explosive, intense, brief activity - plyometrics and Tabata would be something to look at).

But be sure to balance cardio with focused weight lifting and calisthenics.

More than age, I find it is the Pandemic that has really changed it for me. I am way more internally —anxious and stressed, and one of the first casualty of mental stress is the gut system and associated mechanism including control and feeling of pleasure inside, and behind as well. I have always been scared of catching the Virus, and even though the imminent danger of CoVID is over, atleast for the moment, monkeypox still exists.

I fear CoVID has made me into less of a bottom. 😔

Have you tried eliminating gluten from your diet? Although I don't  have celiac disease, I've had both blood and antibody tests come back and tell me I'm gluten sensitive. I eliminated gluten from my diet and in about two months all my digestive issues that led to irregularity went away.
