The Supreme Court ruled a few days ago in support of Texas’ age verification law. This means that all the legal challenges of AV laws are basically dead. Age verification will continue and may get worse.

In reading the commentary on a porn industry discussion board it seems SCOTUS has created a distinction between “obscenity” and “obscene for children”. That’s a big problem. All conservative states have to do now is make laws of what they think is harmfully obscene for kids and all sorts of content can be restricted - such as all LGBT content.

Others in the industry think a federal AV law is next. At that point I’ll need to block the entire US. And with the UK being blocked soon - that would be an existential crisis for the site.

There’s some debate in the industry as to whether the <33% rule (that protects social media) will stand with the new “obscene for children” concept - if it’s obscene how can it ever be OK?

If you’ve voted Republican in the past 10 years - all of this is on you…

CRAP.  How is this being enforced by the states @rawTOP.  I need to assess my own risk with my site....

Most of the states have taken the approach of letting civilians sue the sites for “harm” to their kid.  But some have gone further and are more draconian.

Thanks.  Hmmm, I'll ask dreamhost if they have a way to block certain global regions.

South Dakota has now been blocked. Curiously their law doesn't have an exemption for social media…

Hello guys,

I was just in Florida for the past few days visiting a friend.    I have not been in Florida for a long time.    I was really shocked when I could not bring up Breeding Zone or any porn sites.    My friend I was visiting is quite elderly and long past any interest in sex.   Plus, I didn't necessarily want to bring it up that I'm into more kinky sex and the types of websites I frequent.     What I did notice is that I could still do Scruff and Grindr from my phone.  But nothing worked on my laptop.

What do guys who live in Florida do for porn?   I had considered Florida for retirement due to no state income tax.   However, i would not like not being able to read this website or watch porn when I wanted in my retirement years.

Anyone from Florida have this experience?

Thanks.

Cell networks are the most  likely to juggle IP addresses around, so not surprising.

Websites have to request lat/long AFTER the page loads. AND it doesn't really work on anything but mobile, AND the USER has to be OK with giving the website pretty much their precise location. That isn't a solution that will work in 90% of the cases. If I had more time/energy I'd write some code to let mobile users exempt their IP AFTER the initial redirect to Male Prime, but I don't have the time/energy at the moment.

I've noticed that I frequently getting blocked on my cell network in western OR and WA, when there is 0 chance I'm using a tower in a blocked state.

As not a US citizen, I couldn’t vote for republicans and wI could do I never voted for them. Hypocrites and liars like Trump’s Hungarian Friend, our fucked up dictator, Orban.
I don’t want a block, because I need this site like air to breathe

I don’t want to give any advice as I have absolutely no idea how it works, but is it impossible to move the site to Europe?

Thank you. Of course it helps, and I already used it in Illinois when I realised that the site was blocked. I also used Aloha , like @Njn0mc and it was perfect  for me, too.

I addressed my comment on what @rawTOPposted on June 28:
