For starters, a constitutional amendment could start in either the House or the Senate - it doesn't have to go to the House first. However, it must pass each chamber by a 2/3 vote (in the same form, meaning if there are amendments, they have to agree on a compromise version and vote on that, on both sides, again, and get a 2/3 vote again). In the Senate, that means 67 votes. In the House, it means 290 votes.

Second, constitutional amendments do not require approval by the president. The constitution requires that after approval by both chambers of Congress, it's submitted to the legislatures of the various states. The president plays no role.

Third, it does not have to be ratified by "all" the states - it requires 2/3 of the states, or 38.

For some reason, I though that Truman had "signed off" on the 22nd Amendment (term limits for POTUS). My bad. Not totally that far off the mark, though, considering I'm in American ...

I didn't think POTUS could serve more than two consecutive terms. Really, I dont care how it's done as long as Trump stays out of the White House.

I am no supporter of the "One world order" & believe it is the last thing that independent nations need to be suckered into by the worldwide forum of WOKE IDIOTS. 

  BUT, in a fantasy world wouldn't it be nice to have countries with a 'standard political system'.

We used to have rational gun restrictions.  The radicals on the SCOTUS ended that in the 90s after what, two centuries of restrictions.  At least they’re still allowing restrictions on bombs, artillery, nukes, missiles.  Not that any of that could rationally be blocked if you really believed the originalist bull.  Instead it’s just about manipulating the rubes.  
 

I understand I’m less patient with the stupid and evil party than others.  It’s just because I grew up with these people.  Some of them wanted to disinvite me from my grandmother’s memorial, and some refused to bring children because the gay cousin might corrupt them.  Largely, they’re useless sacks of racist crap who are upset they can’t drop the n word (or other ethnic slurs) in public conversation.  The worst buy into white nationalism.  The best are merely propagandized by horseshit right wing media and don’t have the brain and willpower to reason past the propaganda techniques.  They say dumb things like, “The lamestream media just lies about Him.”  It’s sad how we have to keep trying to save them for the dystopia they’re rushing us toward while imagining that when Medicare goes away it won’t mean for them.  But here we are, and the saddest LCRs keep pretending they won’t be cut off like the rest of us.

I remember so well ... they didn't say it outright, to my face, but it was perfectly clear regardless.  Plus, all 4 of my male cousins went on to fail at their first or second try at a career, and wound up back at the same tired old trough: they became pastors !!!  In fact though, I wouldn't have fucked any of them with trump's shriveled excuse for a dick, no matter how hard they begged.

That's the real tragedy.  What could have been useful, productive lives wound up being wasted chasing myths created only for the "saved".  But who do they hit up for some dough?  You guessed it.  They weren't born any more stupid than anyone else - but they chose to stay there.  They think that just because they lay down, foam at the mouth and holler "Jeeeeeezuz" they're entitled to squat on top of humanity. 

The real stunner though, is they think they're entitled to "inherit" the earth, without lifting so much as a finger to help preserve it.  All they have to do is spout the 'party line', and presto - they get to squat on the labors of other folks.  

People need to use their minds, become educated (not necessarily higher education, but that certainly doesn't hurt.

I do follow becoming less patient.  I'm not proud of that.  I am just tired of the BS.  From "Obama was born in Kenya" to "I am going to jail Biden, Harris, et al".  Including "my inauguration drew the biggest crowd ever" - and his little girl soldier boy spewing "alternate facts".  Facts are measurable, observable,  It seems like we've all been standing in front of a firehose spewing high velocity shit all over us.  Enough!  

I have a little sticker on the back window of my pickup truck.  It reads "You can't fix stupid, but you can numb it with a 2x4".  

A lot of people are waiting for things to be fixed.  But for the most part, they don't lift a finger.  My friends are those who are locally involved.  Whether it be one committee to review something once a year; or a fellow trustee; our municipal staff which provides us socialist central clean water right to taps in our homes; or deal with the shit we flush down the toilet.  Or provide a voice in managing our schools.  I am hopeful everyone will find a way to contribute to their local community.  It definitely helps put our government and nation in perspective.
