If you download the Brave web browser ([think before following links] [think before following links] https://brave.com/download/)Â you have the option built in to launch it connected via Tor This then adds a layer of security that masks your location. As you can see, right now it shows me as being in Istanbul (I am not). You can't choose your exit points so there's a chance it'll occasionally send you via the UK anyway but hey, it's free and it works. As I understand it - if the exit point of the TOR network blocks the target site, the network will try again through a different exit. That might introduce a delay but should otherwise be invisible to the user... Quote

Getting an IP address from Turkey from Tor may not be useful, as I found that breeding zone is blocked in Turkey, also when using another normally acceptable location with Windscribe VPN. But it was possible to get through OK with Privado VPN. 1 Quote
Splitcock Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) People are resourceful, whenever governments run rough shot over something thats not popular we generally find other ways around it. I very much doubt they'll manage to stop porn as it's to big to ban, it'll just go underground and be a bigger problem for the government. The UK government at present are the thickest bunch of incompetent imbeciles know to man. So there will be opportunities that they have failed to cover. so I'm sure we will all meet again on another platform in the future, I have thoroughly enjoyed chatting to like minded people on here over many years and thank you all for being such an open minded community. What measures do you recommend that are techinically and legally sound, secure, would be trusted by people and simple to integrate into the site? I posted some such options above but let me tell you something I would not use any of them. Putting the onus onto RT isn't fair or reasonable. Using an unknown third party and handing them over my PII for a site such as this? Not happening. Again it comes across as self entitlement - this is a free website for the owner to run as he sees fit and in a way that won't get him shut down or held liable for breaking the law - and this is demonstrated by the words you choose to use such as "every right" - I am afraid to inform you but you have literally the same rights as everyone else here: none. And you frame it like it's an attack of some sort on guys from the UK - what about all the red states that RT has had to block? Part of the problem is that people in the UK have allowed shit like this to happen over an over. Every Home Seceratary going back to before Theresa May has been desperate to weaken encryption and have used everything from terrorism to "think about the children" to try to get it. This is yet another weapon in their armory - it won't stop here and people need to wake up and start to take a stand. I suspect this, like many other attempts, is actually doomed to fail because it's too difficult to police - especially abroad - but it's just another attempt to get where they want to get to. Unfortunately our consecutive devious and non democratic governments keep this quiet until it's too late to whip up the anti. Even when something isn't popular in the UK the government will do it anyway (benefits taken away, pensions taken away, no inquiry into grooming gangs, the list goes on). It's all about control Quote
ellentonboy Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I've posted this before, but I will say it again for those who may not have read through the entire thread. If you use Apple products, for instance I have a MacBook Air, I use Malwarebytes. Â I had used it as an anti-virus program, but they added location services for an extra $11 a year. Â I live in Florida, where this site is banned. Â Yet, my VPN is set for downtown Manhattan. Â (Actually I chose that location as RawTop mentioned that NYC would probably never face this kind of situation, but I can change my location if I want). I found it dependable, and I can get on any site. I would not use it on my iPhone, as I did for a short period of time but it did filter out all numbers that were not on my contact list, and that became problematic. But as far as my Apple MacBook Air, I can use it to get on any site, I just make sure it is turned on prior to signing on to any "banned" sites. Â I think the entire package costs me $55 a year, in total. Quote
