I’m 21 years old. I don’t know if i’m thinking clearly but i’ve liked this kink for a little while. But only poz, i don’t wish for anything else. But for me. The thought of being poz (undetectable ofc) just sounds hot to me. I can say i have poz/toxic loads. Wouldn’t have to worry or be scared of HIV anymore. The treatment is same as prep. 1 pill a day. And you can still live a normal healthy life. Thats why i’ve been questioning if i should get off prep and just try to get poz. But for all the people out there. Lemme know what you guys think.

btw i’m a top (on prep & doxypep)

Here's my input if you stay on PREP and don't become positive you retain the option of being able to stop PREP in the event of another health crisis that the treatment will interfere with. If you become positive you will have limited options especially in the event of liver or kidney problems.

Are you prepared for the frequent medical visits? Daily medication? New health issues that will arise due to HIV and your medication? Low testosterone? Copays for your HIV meds and other related chronic diseases? Uncertainties about the Trump administration continuing programs for low-income HIV patients like ADAP and Ryan White? It's not a quick jack off fantasy; it's a lifelong commitment. You'll be living with a permanent medical condition that you will likely need meds to manage.

If you need to ask total strangers what to do involving a life altering decision, the obvious answer is, “NO!”

That decision must come from deep within yourself.

Good luck.

No......Stay on your PrEP, enjoy raw sex and be glad PrEP is around. I've been poz for almost 20 years, before PrEP was available. I wasn't chasing but loved bareback and always thought it was inevitable and was actually relieved that I never had to worry about it again. Fuck without that anxiety

Heres my question. Do you think you would have asked this question if you really wanted to become poz? If you have to ask if you should then no you shouldnt. It is something that you will have forever and cant take back

You should most definately stay on prep and leave pozzing to your fantasies. You are still young with plenty of years ahead of you. The thought of getting pozzed turns you on now, for the moment. If you actually did it, the ramifications of it would most likely have you regretting doing it at some point in the future. So don't do it.

I'd like to address a couple misconception that some people have about being poz, so let me give you my thoughts on a few things you wrote.

You said: " i’ve liked this kink for a little while. But only poz, i don’t wish for anything else. But for me. The thought of being poz (undetectable ofc) just sounds hot to me."

A kink is something that turns you on when you're horny. Being poz is 24/7 whether you want to be or not. There are a lot of things that might sound hot but that's usually because people only look at the glamour or fantasy.

You Said; " I can say i have poz/toxic loads."

That is true. Although, you could say that now if you wanted to. Sex is one thing that almost everyone lies about as some point. People lie about age, or experience, or relationship status, or HIV. You could change your status to "undetectable" and actually, that wouldn't be a lie (if you're negative and took an HIV test, it would not detect anything.) but you could also set up alternate profiles that say you are poz and see what kind of a response you get.  When I changed my profiles to include poz in my name I got hits from tops who thought it would be hot to fuck a poz bottom. Out of all of those guys, none of them actually followed through. Might just be me or my location, but most people who think it would be a hot fantasy, aren't ready or interested in the reality.

You said: "Wouldn’t have to worry or be scared of HIV anymore."

It's true you wouldn't have to be scared of the possibility of catching HIV, instead, you would have to deal with living with an incurable illness. There are a lot of aspects to consider. Let's just look at drug cost. A 30 day supply of the HIV meds I'm on run over $4,000 retail. That's $48,000 a year. You say you are 21 so you could easily live another 60 years. That would give you a lifetime medication cost of $2,880,000. You most likely wouldn't be paying all of that yourself -- maybe none at all, I'm just pointing out the financial cost of a lifetime of treatment. How much of that are you ready to commit to?

You said: "The treatment is same as prep. 1 pill a day."

Not entirely true. It may be one pill, but PREP is a combination of two medications while most HIV meds are a combination of three. Dosing also varies. What that means is that, you are only taking one pill, but you are taking more drugs when you are fighting HIV, which can have a more damaging effect on your liver and kidneys.  Also, PREP is optional. You could stop it at any time. If you are in a committed relationship, fall ill, or stop fucking for a period of time, you could stop taking PREP.  That's not an option if you are poz and want to remain undetectable.

You said: "And you can still live a normal healthy life."

A normal healthy life with the stigma of being infected with an incurable virus, increased risk of co-infection, increased risk of liver and kidney damage, increased risk of fat redistribution,

You said: "i’m a top (on prep & doxypep)"

I'm a bottom. I need a horny pup like you to breed me.

I'd add in uncertainty whether PrEP and other "sinner" drugs will even be available in the United States in the next four years. Women already can't get abortions in many states, and there are a lot of powerful men who want to outlaw the abortion pill nationally.

It makes sense to me that once that goal is accomplished, they'll move on to medications for the next class of people they don't like, whether or not it kills people.

I tried hard not to be poz. But became so after being stealthed. Was rather upset initially. After a while I feel liberated that I am no longer worried about getting poz. A pill a day now is no different to being on Prep.
but think carefully, there is still a lot of stigma and ignorance.
overall I would rather be negative.

You will know it as soon as you will be ready for it. In my case I was thinking all the time getting pozzed, watched poz porn and felt the urge to fullfil it. After I was encouraged by my gay physics teacher to get pozzed, I let it happend. I was looking for poz guys,  fucked with them and in this moment I felt that was the right decision to let poz guys fuck my neg slutty cunt. I knew that I was born beeing a slut for alpha guys. My destiny was to obey and serve them and as a real slut I felt that I need to be poz. At 18, I got my poz result and I‘ve never regret it. I’m really proud beeing poz.

The most important thing is that you be true to yourself. And if you want it, then get the poz seed, but If you‘re not sure whether you should go poz or not, you can stay on prep and wait a few years.
