hntnhole Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I remain unimpressed with the President's response to Netanyahu's aggression. It's been too quiet over there for too long, and I've been wondering when the next blow-up would take place. The President is putty in Netanyahu's hands, and the PM of Israel has been self-serving for years. While T's latest response is his usual "I'll figure it out in a couple of weeks" reply to the major media's questions, the PM has been stirring this pot for years. He's used the "Iran issue" since he first was elected, and perhaps with good reason. Fanning the flames of religious differences is his calling card. This is a good example of why I turned my back on O.R. years ago; both sides claim to serve the One and Only Deity, and neither serves anyone but their own ambitions. The US has something around 40K soldiers in the general area, which T may use as an excuse to bomb Netanyahu's enemies to bits. But he can't do it without bombs from the US, and Trump is like putty in his well-experienced hands. All we can hope for, is "advisors" in our Government can dissuade Putty-brain from supporting this misadventure on the part of others. The straights of Hormuz could easily be closed if the US enters this mess, and that would cost the rest of the world dearly. The only "real" solution I see, are new elections in Israel. Until then, it's time to buckle the seat belts. We can't displace the ridiculous one for a few more years (but, we can take back Congress in a few months), Quote
