    Unfortunately the bottom line is that a few crazy stalkers and a lot of greedy scammers ruin things for everyone and basically make apps like Grindr nearly unusable. The blocking of images on the app version of a4a also sucks. I get all these people sending me "why no pics?"... Uh... dude, there are pics there. If you are on the web version you can see them. I'm not posting face pics, sorry. I'm just looking for local hook-ups. If my face matters more than my ass, probably isn't going to happen anyway.

    I quit using Grindr because of all the people trying to scam there. The dead giveaway is they always want to text rather than use some more anonymous method "give me your number, I'm going to delete this app". Sure... NO. WTF. The one time I made the mistake of giving a number the asshole somehow found a way of tracing it and was threatening to out me unless I sent him bitcoin. I've had a few similar attempts on a4a, but not nearly as much. Mostly it is from people with non-local profiles. I just basically tell them I'm only looking for local hookups and I never give my number out or text. Usually they are very rude then and say I'm not for real or I never wanted them... yeah, the latter is true. Scammers can FOAD.

    Cleaning can be a lot of work, but some tops are very picky about it, so it's worth taking the time to learn how to do it. One issue for a lot of guys may be that it's difficult to do without the right tools... some kind of enema bottle or hose. And for guys on the DL that don't live alone, finding a place to store such things can be an issue. As can be finding a private place to do it, especially if one needs to do it at work, or in public like in a public restroom. Some places are better than others. I'd love to hear what other's thoughts are on some of these issues. Never can learn too much.

    People will post ads for other sites... spamvertising. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much just deleting the words helps, they just find a way around it.
