Let's start with what I'm not looking for: NO chems, no drugs, no "enhancements". I'll march for legalizing anything you want to put in your own body, but I don't want to be around anyone who's using. Period.

  1. "AGAIN, you didn't seem to read RawTop's posting.

One of the ways they control the spammers that plague sites like this is by only gradually opening up abilities. More participation over a longer period of time = more message capacity.

You've made a total of 58 posts and replies in nearly ten years of membership on this site (five of which have been in the last day and two of which are in this complaint thread). That's roughly one every other month. That is not the sign of a person who is participating extensively in the site. Reading? Sure, you may be reading a lot on here, and that's great. But the site only succeeds when people *contribute* to the site, in terms of content, as  well"

Hey, I appreciate your input. This is the first time I have seen a response that actually at least circles around or hints @ answering my actual question. I don't consider my inquiry a "complaint". I love the site but I want to use it more & am limited to a certain degree by this tiny mailbox. Anyway, I want to increase the size of my mailbox, but how, when, & how much the mailbox gets increased (if at all) remains a mystery after inquiring a few times.  I did read through the anti-spam explanation & I understand & support that model. However, it seems to me that the anti-spam setup on the website doesn't have to be compromised by allowing a member to have a larger mailbox, especially if the member is willing to pay for it, which I assume would further support the site itself. Am I missing something? I love to participate in the site & will participate more in the future too. Bit can you give me any more specificity on the upgrading my status in order to have a larger mailbox.

Thanks in advance for any help & advice. 😃😀

For starters, the site isn't set up for paid memberships - that's a model I don't think the site owner (RawTop) is interested in pursuing (mainly because CC processors are awfully jumpy about sites that could generate public outrage (and a site about barebacking and chasing certainly fits that).

The reason for the limit on messages is not entirely about the spam but also about getting people to participate publicly, rather than relying on private communications. That's the goal of the site: public discussions from which everyone can benefit, not so much one-on-one messaging.  The messages exist as a back channel for things that aren't quite suitable for a public board, or which the writer doesn't want to share with the entire membership, but it's part of the site design that these should be infrequent compared with public postings.

And those public postings are what will expand your access. Keep at it. Make favorable comments on a few of the stories that are posted that you like. Ask questions, if you have any, in the sexual health forums. I'm not sure how many posts you have to make for various features to expand - like being able to react to posts, or having a larger message box - but they WILL come, as you prove yourself to be a contributor to the community.

And that's the overall point that all the restrictions have - trying to make sure people participate in the forums.
