  1. I think he is taking from the POV of a straight man who does gay porn. I doubt it is a general condemnation of bottoms, but I do like a little humiliation and trash talk when I’m getting fucked.
  2. Yikes! I predict a MPX outbreak in the Bible Belt soon!
  3. I’ve decided to isolate for a while and I will make an apple pie this fall…
  4. One dose provides immunity for a minimum of six months. A second dose will provide immunity for 2-5 years. I am referring to the JYNNEOS vaccine.
  5. For those of you who think MPX will remain primarily a disease that affect gay and bisexual man, here is a counterpoint from the Atlantic Magazine… [think before following links] https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2022/06/monkeypox-outbreak-spread-animal-hosts/661338/
  6. And also because there are no animal reservoirs for smallpox, which meant there was no place for the virus to retreat to once it could not spread from person to person. This is not the case with MPX.
  7. I had almost no reaction, and I am nearly 4 weeks out from mine.
  8. According to one of the two local gay newspapers, DC Public Health has decided to postpone second shots in order to accommodate the backload of requests for first shots. Their stance is that the first shot provides immunity for six months— not the 2 years that I have seen here, but I think it buys some time to help tamp down this epidemic. DC requires proof of residence, though, so it won’t eliminate it entirely in this area unless Maryland and Virginia step up their vaccination efforts, or DC loosens their requirements to allow residents from neighboring jurisdictions to get shots. i have not gotten notification that my second shot, scheduled for next Tuesday has been postponed, but if they don’t contact me by the end of the week I will call and confirm this.
  9. Unless, Of course, a child gets it and becomes the vector. Those of us who came of age before there was a chicken pox vaccine can attest how that would spread at school. And unlike adults, children have no sense of personal space.
  10. Heretofore it’s primary spread has not been through sexual contact— this is a new aspect of the virus this year. But here is my prediction of how this all plays out. Some closet case is going to get infected and take it home to his wife and kids, who will in turn spread it to all their schoolmates. Suddenly it will be a big priority and all sorts of energy will go into a vaccine program aimed at the general public. Get your shot now while the focus is on MSM, or you’ll eventually be pushed to the back of the line.
  11. That’s where I got mine on July 5. FYI, unlike the flu shot, which is IM, this one is subcu in the arm. I felt nothing, and had no reaction afterwards. I hope you’ll be fine too.
  12. I would be loathe to diagnose anything via a description provided over the internet. Just go to a doctor and have him look at it. Just for the peace of mind.
  13. Colorado is also Blue. Perhaps they can form a mini union of their own.
  14. As he well should have. I would have too.
  15. I was fortunate enough to snag an appointment in DC on July 5, and have my second shot in the series scheduled for August 2. I find this outbreak somewhat depressing— I suspect this isn’t going away and once vaccine supply ramps up the general public will be offered vaccines. Nature abhors a vacuum, and it has been 45 years since smallpox has been eradicated— longer than that in the U.S. and other developed countries. It was always probably just a matter of time until another virus came along to occupy the space once occupied by the smallpox virus.
  16. When I was in Atlanta earlier this year I stayed in the Chesire Motor Lodge and had a <ahem> perfectly fine stay.
  17. I think Pastor Will Ryder will soon need to change his name to Pastor Dick Rider.
  18. I checked the “Needs discussion” option, since I don’t fit neatly into the other options.
  19. I’ve not been to the San Francisco event yet, but it was indeed smaller than I expected. I did end up pissing all over a guy in a portapotty though.
  20. Any one else attending tomorrow?
  21. Thanks for this honest review. Between the pain and the dribbling I will probably never get a PA. Do you have any major tat work, and if so how would you compare the pain of getting the PA to that of a roughly 3-4 hour tattoo session?
  22. This has been on my bucket list, but the stars have never aligned for me to go to one.
  23. I suspect he meant sly, not shy.
