It's a tough situation. Especially with close family and the thought that this kind of disclosure will make people treat you differently is exactly why so many, even now, remain closeted. Never underestimate the ability some people have to use a shield of (wilful) ignorance. Some truths are too big for some people to process, and when its close to home it can be harder still, so rather than deal its easier to pretend its not happening (or just a phase). I wish there were some easy answers but the history of being gay is not exactly one of easy acceptance. I can only hope you find a resolution.

I get what you mean precisely. That's why I have favourites I always use. If the scent or the mix is off I just don't get the same results. I know there is a chemical response that poppers cause and its a little different between propyl, pentyl and amyl types but there is definitely a psychological effect when you immediately link the action of opening that bottle with everything that follows. Its kind of like the relaxation that comes with lighting a cigarette (for those smokers and ex smokers out there).

Thanks for all the responses. I've slept on it and feeling a bit more philosophical. You've all raised great points and given me some needed reflection. Some days and guys just suck but then there are the good ones to concentrate on.

Ok, so I'm not expecting a major thread or discussion. I am just venting tbh because I suspect I'm not unique in this situation. So perspective, its the weekend, I'm all ready for the season and starting to feel festive so I'm checking out the sites. I have received about half a dozen oinks in the space of about an hour and a half. So far so good; so I respond with a, " Hi, how's it going? What're you looking for?" etc. And that's it. That's where each trail ends. Why the hell hit someone up and then blank them? Did I break some golden rule by responding with an actual message? Now I suspect that mostly they saw my profile pic and just sent out feelers and only when I responded did they actually look at my profile and decide I'm not exactly what they were looking for. I guess I just wish guys would read first and not waste everyone's time. Sorry, vent over, I just needed to scream into the void for a bit because its too fucking cold to go cruising instead.

I tend to fix suction cups to a floor for a riding position. Vertical fixings are always tricky although I have seen some inventive positioning using drawer fronts so the user can move the drawer back and forwards to create the right motion. You are right that what ever you fix to needs to be heavy and stable. If you have any weights or home gym equipment you can row yourself to a good place. Otherwise start saving for a fuck machine 😉 There are some pretty good benches you can look at too that are made for fixing toys to that afford a more comfortable position. Sometimes you have to get a bit creative with the space you have.

And, if you're just looking for a surface to attach to then any flat and smooth area. Tiles, laminates or polished wood floors. Mirrors work but beware of any glass surface that it is secure and solid.

Have a look at Twisted Beast. They make large toys and sell suction cups for the smaller and their (very) big toys. I don't know if they would work on a standard vac u lock fitting but as cups go they are a good size and a decent hold for the toys they fit.

I've only ever had a mixed bag of luck with bbrts, and cruising sites in general. To be honest I only post occasionally and only check in to see if any cruising grounds are active. I think most guys can relate to getting spammed by pic hunters, or bots selling other sites, or the inevitable flakes. Like any advice all of it comes from a perspective tempered by experience so take from it what you will. First off, and I truly believe this, if you are unsure then its probably not for you right now. Being nervous is understandable; not only is being intimate with strangers inherently risky for many health reasons, it can also be simply dangerous. That said I have only been truly uncomfortable with situations on a couple of occasions. Secondly, if you are serious about enjoying casual anonymous sex get on prep. Obviously that one is upto you but if you are taking loads then you will end up getting more than just cum in you. How you deal with that is your choice. Lastly, when you are sure, enjoy it. Go to a club, bathhouse or cruising ground and offer yourself up. You might not always get everything you want but every chance not taken fails. Same, even though I have a nice selection of dildos sometimes the improvisation of what is to hand is all it takes to scratch that itch. So beer bottles and other nice, thick round containers have been used to fill me. I have a very nice smooth rolling pin that has been pushed up me on more than one occasion. I have used a general screen cleaner before, the type you can get for any flat screen. As long as you use a non-abrasive cloth to wipe and polish it should leave the disc in perfect condition. Hope your collection is back to being filthy in the right way soon!
