Was just informed that activist, writer and friend David Mixner passed away from Long Covid Complications this week, he will be sorely missed in LGBTQ politics as well as on this and other gay sites. Though we had known of each other for a number of years because of all the people we knew in common and all of the events and galas and such that he was key to organizing and that I appeared in, it took until a random hook-up 3 years ago to finally meet in person - and we had chatted on and off over the years it turned out on subjects both sexual and/or political, even philosophic on this and numerous other sites...Resquiet en Pace, David. Yes, that was definitely a classic signal back in the day - though that signal could also mean to meet in the Men's Room if the Rest Area/Truck Stop had one. For me most of the time if I met a trucker at a rest stop we went to the woods behind it, or if it was real quiet we stayed in the Men's Room, and sporadically would play at a nearby motel. I used to have a good number of Satyr's films (that I paid for) on a spare hard-drive. Not only were you lucky enough to have these things happen, you are also a very good writer and know HOW to tell a story (albeit an actual experience just like all of mine)... I thought your prior real life tales were hoT, but this one made me cum 3 times, a record, actually - thank you for that. I am still here - I tested poz with the first ERISA tests back in 1985 when I was 22, and 39 years later I am still here at age 61. My first long term partner was HIV+ when we met in '86 and passed from AIDS in '89. Met my current partner now husband in 1990 and we celebrate 34 years on January 15. He's STILL neg, I'm still poz - with both men our relationships have been sexually open and free - just emotionally monogamous. I have heard from several friends who went through this that your tolerance does "re-set" but not all the way to zero @JeffPigDadd, yes, starting up again does hit hard and no you don't start off with your former tolerance, but you also don't go all the way back to the way you were before you first started. You'll always have more tolerance than a complete newbie...

@partying.hard and @SFCumdog - he would have loved to have heard both of these comments, he was very proud of the magazine, and @partying.hard - dude, STEAM as a teenager? Fucking A, very advanced and a pig right up my alley! Being older, for me it was Honcho and Drummer and the like when I was a teen. And if both of you gents read several editions, you definitely encountered some of my columns, as I believe they were in three or four editions.
