There's an education campaign being done by some guys that do porn, pairing poz (undetectable) and neg (on PrEP) guys to have bareback sex. Their site is http://porn4prep.com/. I first read about it in the PrEP Facts Facebook group. I found the video on pornhub: https://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=ph59ade2f04e8c0&t=0&utm_source=porn4prep.com&utm_medium=embed&utm_campaign=embed-title-html5 It's more of an education piece, with interviews breaking up the sex scene. And the sex scene isn't as smokin' hot as I was hoping it would be. I would have rather seen a unmedicated guy fuck the guy on PrEP, but I suppose they're taking baby steps. But ... if it helps someone who's paralyzed in fear and afraid to have bareback sex, it might be worthwhile.

I have 90 tablets (three month supply) of Tenvir-em, the generic PrEP drug, to sell. I bought them through United Pharmacies, one of the online suppliers recommended on https://www.iwantprepnow.co.uk/ I had fully intended to use them, but I got onto another PrEP study (the DISCOVER study testing a new version of Truvada), so I'll be getting my tablets through that. The expiry date on these generic tablets is March 2018. Looking for £100 for them (I bought them for about £140). Based in London, would prefer a face to face sale rather than putting them in the post, but you never know. (If you're not already taking PrEP, not already accessing one of the PrEP clinics, but you're interested, best to check out the iwantprepnow site first, find out all the tests and procedures necessary before starting the drug as well as the follow-ups required.)

Sluts, whores and bitches rejoice! Generic Truvada is coming. By Teva (US), maker of very many things generic. Unfortunately their pricing varies widely. But as always - the the proof is in the pudding, no date yet and no pricing either: http://www.raps.org/Regulatory-Focus/News/2017/06/09/27877/FDA-Approves-First-Generic-Version-of-Gileads-HIV-Drug-Truvada/

Last month I got stealthed by this guy at the bath house. When I wasn't watching, he removed the condom he had insisted on using and then proceeded to cum in me. When I found out, for some reason instead of being angry I decided to immediately suck his cock and then let him breed me a second time - raw. The next day I went and requested PEP because if I seroconvert, I rather it didn't occur in the context of a random hookup. (For those who aren't familiar with PEP, the acronym refers to post-exposure propylaxis, which amounts to taking anti-retroviral medication (ART) after having been potentially exposed to HIV. The purpose is to prevent seroconversion. PEP should be used only in emergency situations and must be started within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV. For various reason, the cocktail of Truvada and Isentress really set badly with my stomach and I was so annoyed by it I found myself irritated about having to take the medication, particularly as I had been instructed to eat a meal with the Truvada. (Apparently taking Truvada on a full stomach boosts absorption.) In any event, more than once I took the medication late, on one occasion four hours late, and additionally I did not eat very much while taking Truvada. I even flushed my daily dose once as requested by some members of the forum. For some reason doing so really turned me on. The treatment was to last 28 days, but during the last two weeks I developed a sore throat and feverish symptoms that went away after six days. Nothing too serious or tough. Now that I have finished the treatment I'm supposed to see my doctor in 30 days, then at the 90 day mark, and finally at the 180 day mark - just to verify if it worked. I was wondering if anyone on this site has ever taken PEP, and if so, did it work? When I told to the doctor I was not sticking to the timing he gave me, and that I was having sex during the PEP period, he got pretty pissed off saying that I was risking becoming resistant to the cocktail, and he also suggested I might have a high viral load, in which case I would be dangerous to any guys with whom I had sex.

If You Can't Go On Prep Do You Start Bugchasing?
Guest posted a topic in Making The Decision To Bareback
I found out about PREP years ago after getting stealthed and taking PEP. Apparently in the US and other countries, bareback is finally and almost completely safe option (yes a guy still managed to get HIV but that is a rarity). Unfortunately in some countries, including mine, PREP is not an option. Fact is that I don't believe in "safe BB" unless you manage to have a monogamous relation. Stealthers are out there pozzing guys who than inadvertetly poz other guys. And even wortst I am of the slutty types, I enjoy anon hookups in sleazy places like baths, porn cinemas and parks where condoms often are not avaible or not enough. So what more options do you have in this case? Wait for PREP ? There are not even talks for starting it here. A lot of slutty bottoms I heard simply gave up trying to use condoms and accepted to become poz since here you don't pay for HIV meds. I'm quite angered and confused about what to do, I guess I should either give up completely on my desire to BB or accept siero conversion as inevitable. Whats funny is that here if you look for BB sex 2/3 of the people you will meet are poz looking to convert you. So yeah, what to do?- 10 replies

November 5, 2015 'Significant Victory' as Gilead Expands Co-Pay Assistance for Truvada as PrEP Gilead Sciences announced its Truvada as PrEP co-pay assistance program will cover a total annual benefit of $3,600 with no monthly limit, according to Gilead spokesperson Ryan McKeel. The new program is effective November 6. When taken daily, Truvada (which contains the HIV meds tenofovir and emtricitabine) has proved to be nearly 100 percent effective as a pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, to prevent HIV. AIDS activist Peter Staley and a group of PrEP advocates had approached Gilead, which manufactures Truvada, about making the med more accessible and affordable. Staley told POZ he views the new co-pay program as a “significant victory, even if it’s not everything we asked for. “PrEP advocates are going to closely monitor how these new co-pay assistance cards play out,” he continued. “If substantial numbers of patients start hitting the $3,600 max mid-year, Gilead is going to hear from us, loudly.” A problem that Staley and other PrEP advocates have been hearing is that people are deterred from using Truvada as PrEP when they are faced with very high annual deductibles. For example, according to a 2015 report from the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average annual deductible for plans for singles is $1,318 (although they vary widely), and the average co-pay for first-tier drugs is $11, second-tier drugs, $31, third-tier drugs, $54, and fourth-tier drugs, $93. “We hear constant stories of folks deciding not to fill that first bottle of Truvada because the bill is over $1,000—all going to pay their plan’s deductible,” Staley said. For people who have insurance plans with fixed copays, Staley said, “Gilead just increased its coverage big time.” Noting that folks will need more financial assistance if their insurance plans charge coinsurance percentages instead of flat copays, Staley said he and advocates will keep pushing Gilead to raise its annual max payment. 1 For more information about Truvada and Gilead’s co-pay assistance program, click here. So one of the things I have done in the past is taken other medications for PrEP. What I mean by this however is that they will all contain tenofovir/emtricitabine. For example. a few months ago a friend moved away and left his bottle of atripla at my place. I asked if he wanted it mailed to him, he declined. In a few cases then when my truvada was running low I would take the atripla for a few days. A similar thing happened with another friend on stribild. My main question is: Is there any harm in this? Im negative so drug resitance isnt a problem. Yes I am taking extra medication, but I didnt suffer any side effects, so I really am not worried about that either. Any input from others on here?

Just giving my initial experience for those thinking about going on it. I struggled with the decision, im a total top.. Was usually safe, but of course love BB. I always ask status, testing dates etc. But I know people lie, and don't have a clue or use a oral test which have you read the directions? Definitely not on par with a blood test which I get tested for very regularly. I got a BF, we fuck raw, then he started having me fuck his friend.. Who I found out was poz undetectable later (Drunk fucking which I love and have done lots of silly things in this regard) so in an effort not to get it I did all the research. I started here, then read everything I could get my hands on from giliad. Then I checked my insurance, and without calling I found out I had a 200$ deductible and 35/45$ copay for brand. Then I went to my insurers website and found a handy 2014 PDF that listed what was covered medication wise and found it is covered. So then I decided to talk to my doctor, which I am fortunate I have found and kept a good gay doctor that I can talk to and get honest feedback on what to do. I just scheduled the office visit to get my STI checks and decided while I was waiting to just ask him. It was a complete 180 from what I thought was going to happen, he was extremely upfront, asked questions, and gave honest feedback of what exactly to expect from it. I was upfront about the sex im having (To a point) and he printed out a Gilead form which he had to go over with me point by point (Taking it every day, sexual practices, you must come in every 3 months for STI testing). He also said they would not prescribe more than 3 months to make you come back in for STI testing. I signed the form, they drew several vials of blood and by Thursday they will call it in for me. He said the insurance company will most likely contact them to question it but most just approve it. I went to Gilead and filled out the forms for the copay compensation and got my card so my expense will be minimal: Possible 200$ deductible per year for the prescription 4 trips per year to Dr for 25$ copay each = 100$ And I will get bills for the labcorp testing which my insurance covers most of it and the bills are usually less than 50$ It will probably cost me 500$ a year to be on it, and that's worth it to me. There are three options, 1. Don't have sex (Um, No), 2. Have sex and maybe convert and take medication the rest of my life, 3. Take this and reduce the risk, and if my behavior changes, I don't have to take it anymore. My experience so far...

BY MARILYNN MARCHIONE AP CHIEF MEDICAL WRITER SEATTLE (AP) -- For the first time, a study shows that a drug used to treat HIV infection also can help prevent it when taken before and after risky sex by gay men. The results offer hope of a more appealing way to help prevent the disease beyond taking daily pills and using condoms, although those methods are still considered best. The study, done in France and Canada, is the first to test "on demand" use of Truvada, a pill combining two AIDS drugs, by people planning to have risky sex. The uninfected men who took it were 86 percent less likely to get HIV compared to men given dummy pills. Hey guys, I'm a neg bottom living in the U.K.who would go on prep if it were available on the NHS. It's not available in my region and with health service cuts it is unlikely to be any time soon. I investigated online purchase of Truvada which would be expensive if taken daily. A guy in London tells me there is evidence that a 2-3 day course of Truvada around a planned bareback session is effective at greatly reducing the risk of infection. I don't have a steady partner so being able to take 3 or 4 pills on the day of a BB session and for two days afterwards is cost effective ( just over £10 for 4 pills ). I'm a slutty bottom who likes to take multiple anonymous loads at saunas say one night per week. £10 for a night of uninhibited fun seems like a good investment. Anyone else know of evidence or studies which show that taking Truvada just before exposure and for two days afterwards is effective?

If you live in the state of WA and are interested in going on PrEP but the cost has been prohibitive the state has a program called the PrEP Drug Assistance Program more info can be found here http://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/IllnessandDisease/HIVAIDS/HIVCareClientServices/PrEPDAP Apparently WA is the first state to have such a program for PrEP per http://www.thebody.com/content/75057/washington-state-first-to-assist-those-seeking-hiv.html 150-055-PrEPDAPBrochure.pdf

Treasure Island just released a pre-release scene for its next video from Liam Cole called London Underground and the scene is sure to be controversial I imagine. But then what TIM video isn't? Here is the scene description: #TeenageTruvadaWhore If there is one thing we have in London, it's uncut cocks. LONDON UNCUT brings together some of the hottest studs Europe has to offer, including muscle pigs JEFF STRONGER, PRIAM and LUCA BONDI, with UK favourites SAM PORTER, YURI and "Brit-Pig" BRUCE JORDAN, joined by cut guys CHRISTIAN MATTHEWS and RAY DALTON.This scene is inspired by an email sent to director LIAM COLE by a young fan calling himself #TeenageTruvadaWhore. Little JOSH TAYLOR doesn’t know what’s hit him, as he gets tag fucked by seven hung uncut blokes from across Europe. The gang queue up to get inside his tight boy hole, taking turns pounding the living daylights out of him. The trailer for the whole video is also posted on thier website at: http://www.treasureislandmedia.com/cart/LONDON-UNCUT-Pre-Release-Teenage-Truvada-Ho.html

Hopefully in the right forum:confused: Thought I'd pass this along... I may help lots of folks with this kind of a push! The CDC has recommended PReP (Truvada) for those who are not infected in order to quell the rising numbers of poz people... Make your own decision, but I'm glad to see this. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/15/health/us-recommends-daily-pill-to-fight-aids-infections.html?action=click&module=Search®ion=searchResults&mabReward=relbias%3As&url=http%3A%2F%2Fquery.nytimes.com%2Fsearch%2Fsitesearch%2F%3Faction%3Dclick%26region%3DMasthead%26pgtype%3DHomepage%26module%3DSearchSubmit%26contentCollection%3DHomepage%26t%3Dqry283%23%2Ftruvada&_r=0

I went to pick up my Truvada/PrEP prescription on Saturday and the price had gone up about $12 (my plan pays 80% so that's about $60 retail). I made some remark about it usually being lower and the pharmacist said her other job is at a hospital ordering wholesale drugs and she recently noticed that the wholesale price of Truvada had gone up. When she asked about it she was told there was a shortage of the drug. It would seem that PrEP has been more popular than Gilead expected and they're not able to keep up with the demand. Or the cynical side of me wonders if they're trying to profit off a market where they're the only approved drug. Hopefully it's not that and it's just a production capacity problem and it'll get resolved soon.

Just a quick note to say if you're taking PrEP, or thinking of taking PrEP, definitely give Gilead a call - 877-505-6986 - they'll give you up to $200/month off on PrEP. http://www.truvada.com/truvada-patient-assistance When I looked into it 6 months ago the website said they only did copay assistance for Truvada based on need and they wanted to see tax returns. I hadn't completed my 2012 taxes, so I put it off and I was paying $225/month ($2700/year) for PrEP. I did that for 6 months, but then I got my taxes done, so I had them ready and did the call and I was really surprised because they didn't ask any financial questions at all. They gave me the details I needed to get the $200/month off, so I called my plan's mail order pharmacy expecting to pay a net of $25/mo, but they told me they don't take that type of copay assistance. I thought I had to get it through them, but they said I could go to a regular pharmacy. The only thing was that if I went to a regular pharmacy the price would be $250/month, not $225. I go to Callen-Lorde - the gay clinic here in NYC - they have a pharmacy so I figured I'd support Callen-Lorde by filling the script there. There were some mixups, but I did get finally get it filled - total price was almost exactly $50 - which is far more affordable than $225. So that means I'm saving $175/month - $2,100/year!! The only downside is that they won't reimburse for past copays, so I can't get money back for the $225/month I spent in the past. Too bad, but at last I'm saving money going forward. My plan isn't as generous as some. A lot of you have copays that are $200 or less so you'll get PrEP for free. That's a price you can't beat! There's no excuse for not taking it if it's free...
