Does it count if we were born there? 

As I recall, the city is (phonetically) Wherebocka - not sure of the spelling though.

Well, thanks, Anders4, for that hint !!!

If I could blush pa Svenska, I would .... that might be it.  My family emigrated to the USA when I was less than a year old.  We did go back to visit every other year when I was a little kid, but that didn't last all that long, and I just don't recall all that much.  I got "naturalized" upon entry into the US, and I have an American birth certificate.  But I remember some boxes with papers from the Gamla Rike*.  

I'll have to pick through some old documents - maybe I can find it.  

*Moderators:  that translation would be "Old Country", so please don't ding me again for a couple of Swedish words.  Thank you.
